Just under a month ago I got my first full size truck. Prior to that I have always had an S-10.

Anyway, my new truck is a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd extended cab with the sportside bed and leather interior (SLT). It's got 100k on the clock but runs and even smells brand new. I've put some money into it since I got it, but about half was for fun and looks.

Already put a K&N cold air intake on it that I found at a boneyard. Put some polished stainless step bars on the side, window visors on the front doors, a bug deflector on the front and a GM tonneau cover on the bed in addition to a bedliner. Did new plugs and wires and will probably start on the trans and diff fluids soon.

May also put an exhaust system on it along with some rear shackles to even out the stance but not sure. Also have to hook my old Sirius satellite into the radio. (#1 priority right now as regular radio sucks)

Anyway, I hope this thing makes it to 200k as i have been able to do with my S-10s. They are still running out there somewhere.

Will try and post a picture later but the weather may not cooperate.

Welcome to the forum, and where in the hell did u find a k&n at a junkyard. Wish i could do that.

LOL. It's even one of their super 77 kits with the metal pipe. Only this one is a bit older because instead of polished aluminum it has chrome plated steel.

Anyway, there is a website I found when I was looking for parts for my S-10, bravada, and jimmy. Car-part.com. it's hooked into all the boneyards and you can search by state or region for just about anything. I started searching for an airbox as i wanted one to cut apart to make my own cold air intake. one of the descriptions said K&N and they were somewhat local so i stopped in to take a look. All clamps were there and the filter looked relatively unused or at least recently cleaned. Even came with an EO MAF that matches my own part number. Got the whole thing for $100, a savings over new of $200+. :D
