Setting Vehicle Clocks Royal Pain! (time Change)

Every single vehicle I have owned has a different way to set the clocks. Why is this?

Every spring and fall I can figure out how to reset all the clocks in my house, but forget how the clocks are set in my car and truck. I finally typed up clock reset instructions for both the car and truck and stuck this in the glove compartments.

Anyway it would be nice if ALL electronic clocks were reset with the same steps.

Good idea, though. Might have to suggest that to some of my family... they'll drive around for months with the clock set wrong, lol.

Because ts an after thought - "Oh, we have to set the clock!! You only do that once in a while, no need to make it simple, so you can remember it."

You can set all the clocks in your house, no problem? Damn, I wish I could. I have a couple - like this auto set thermometer - it synchs to some clock in Colorado - but doesn't know when day light savings time is!

Thats why I like SASK we don't even have daylight savings here.

Not enough daylight in the winter to make it worth while. :flag:

Yeah,Do you guys even have daylight up there?!

No shit! Like it would make a difference if it was light between noon-2pm vs 1:00pm-3:00pm.

Couldn't be easier in my truck.

No kidding. I have a button for hours and a button for minutes. Same in the 99 Bravada I have. My Alpine stereo with all it's bells and whistles was surprisingly easy as well once you remembered to press the button with the little logo on it. :flag:

Now the hard one, that's my motorcycle. I have to unvelcro the watch, pull out the little dial and spin the big hand around to the next hour. Then, I need to revelcro it back onto the trees. Oh, the humanity.

Given all the whiz-bang of newer vehicles and radios, one would think they could do the changes themselves. But with the nav it is pretty darn easy. It is nice though to have the extra daylight later now.
