Why I hate Gordon

1. He's annoying, he has the highest pitch voice in nascar (above Shawna Robinson's too).

2. He thanks God every 2 seconds.

3.When he doesn't get his way, he whines.

4. He whines like a 2 yr old.:

Gordon: "But Rusty, I had a shot at Stewart! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Rusty: You weren't even (Expletive) close man.

Gordon: "But Rusty!!!!!!!!"

Rusty: "Shut the (Expletive) up!!!!" ( I know that wasn't what really went down, but it was close enough.)

Anybody else?

4 reasons is enough for me.

Here is my reply to your four comments:

1. Not everyone can have a voice like James Earl Jones.

2. A mans faith is no reason to hate him. He may thank the lord alot but that is his belief.

3. Name me one driver that don't pitch a fit when they don't get their way.

4. Have you ever seen a two year old throw a fit. I have yet to see gordon run to his room crying, get on the ground and go bizerk or anything else that resembles a two year old.

To me these are four piss poor reasons. Get some real reasons. There are plenty of drivers that I can't stand but I have yet to go out and bash them like people do to gordon.

I'm not a Gordon hater, but I'm not a big fan of his either.

I saw Bill 89's post on the other thread and felt that I had to speak up, though.

Jeff Gordon is not in WC because he or his parents have money. The man is a three time WC Champion. Money will not get that for you. He can drive the wheels off of a racecar, that is why he is driving for one of the better funded teams in NASCAR WC. He has been driving since he was 5 years old. His parents even moved to California in order for him to drive sprint cars at the age of 15. (In Indiana he would have had to wait until he was 18) This is a man that was groomed to be a racer from early childhood.

All this and people still say that "his Daddy got him that ride". That is just hogwash! (I'd use stronger terms, but the auto profanitizer would get it and then you'd just see ****)

He is a tad on the whiney side, but I'll tell you this; My big dumb ass isn't good enough to go to Richmond and drive!

Let me re-phrase #4 so ppl can understand what I'm talkin about.

I saw 2 types of arguments Sat. night. Rusty Wallace type and Jeff Gordon type. I like the Rusty Wallace Type of arguing.

EX.

Jeff G.: I had a shot at winning. (Notice, he didn't have explitives)

Rusty: I couldn't stop the G*dD*mn thing, don't brake check, we don't need to be (explitive) up these cars for those guys in the (explitive) shop on monday.

Long story short, Jeff Gordon Just don't curse enough for my taste.

Get what I'm saying?

If you're gonna Whine, Cussing will get your point across. (IMO)

I have to disagree with you on that. While a curse will get someone's attention, It is usually not needed. To me, cussing out another person makes you look like a fool.

I have hung up the phone on, and walked away from numerous senior military people for cussing at me. I can cuss with the best of them and I do it frequently, but if I'm chewing ass on a junior sailor, I don't cuss at all.

I heard a Master Chief call cusswords "Verbal Intensifiers" once. I thought it was funny.

Thank You fritz. I really didn't want to go there. As you grow up general cussing don't seem as cool as it did when you were still wet behind the ears. You don't have to cuss out however to get your point accross. As your name of drivers. Gordon is well known so he is on camera more often then others. You named Jarret and Martin. these are two people that have been whining since daytona about the areo package. You seem to be fishing with no bait. As I sad before, there are plenty of drivers that I can't stand, but you have no read anything that I have said bad about them. If you come right down to it, I am jealous of every one of them. I would do anything to be out there. all I do is drag race my car as a hobby when the wife let's me. I live by hte saying, " I live with fear everyday, sometimes she lets me race.

First let me say I don't "Hate" Gordon, but I wouldn't say he's one of my favorites either. I think alot of people don't like him because of his image. I think alot of people consider him to have that "pretty boy" image. He's not labeled as the typical "good ol boy" that lots of NASCAR fans are used too. However it is that you see his image, he can still drive the wheels off a race car, which makes the people with the "pretty boy" image of him dislike him even more. That's just what I've noticed from friends, family, and fans at the races.

On the note about cursing, I'll be 32 next week and if I accidentally slip up and say a curse word so that my mom can hear it, she still gives me that look and proceeds to scold me a little bit. Even the littlest of words like sh*t and d*mn. It still makes me feel like I've disapointed her. LOL

I kind of like this topic. The reason being is that some Gordon fan usually ends up with their panties in a wad and throwing a big hissy fit. I generally find that kind of amusing. LOL

I am not Jeff Gordan's biggest fan in the world, I'll say that right up front. I can't stand the guys image, he just doesn't quite fit what you think of when you think of stock car drivers. But I will not deny the fact that he must have some driving skills, after all, the guy has won a bunch of races. Sure, he had a great crew chief there most of the time, but that don't make the whole package.

I don't see where you get off on bashing him because he isn't afraid of letting his faith be known. While I am not one of those religious freaks, I am a strong Lutheran. Does that throw me into the same hate catagory of yours that you put Gordan into?

And about this cussing deal. I grew up on a farm, so I clearly know how to let loose with a few choice words (funny how cattle teach you those things!!). But there is a time and place for doing that. I will cuss to my hearts desire when I'm home working or in some other setting like that, but once I hit the door to the house or go into the public there is no need for those words. I think Gordan is smart enough to go along those same lines, he knows there is no reason for that language during a time when the camera is on him, but I will bet you that he is cussing up a storm in that car.

I know how that goes. When dad and I are out working we'll each be cussing up a storm, sometimes at each other. Once the days work is over though, if I happen to let one small bad word out dad gives me that same look.

I'll have to add that me and my dad had a scanner at one of the Rockingham races one year, and you would be really suprised at some of the words Gordon (but not just Gordon, there were plenty others) said that day. I know me and my dad were. I know it's the "heat of battle" and all, but we were still suprised.

I agree about not cursing in a public place and around children too. They will learn that all too soon at school and from friends.

Let me get this out first. I don't hate Gordon, but the only other cars I would rather see lose is Dale Jarrett, any Bodine, Mike Skinner(maybe), and Tony Stewart (depending on my mood). I do agree that Rusty's cussing was a bit out of line, but I know that sometimes when you're that mad you don't think. Looking back Rusty probably wishes he hadn't said those things where everyone could hear, but now it's too late.

As for the crying, well I've been hounded for years by people telling me that Rusty is a cry baby. Maybe he is maybe he isn't, but I personally think that Gordon definately is. And as for Dale Jarrett I know he is, everytime he starts bad at the beginning of a year, he, Robert Yates, and half the other ford drivers cry about it until they get a rule change to get DJ back in the points race. And yes I know Rusty drives a Ford, that is unforunate; but I liked him when he drove the Kodiak Pontiac and I don't root for the car I root for the driver for the most part.

And as for the Gordon fans..........don't worry about it. Half the fun of NASCAR is arguing about the drivers. If I was gonna get mad a cry about it evrytime someone made fun of Rusty to me I'd never watch a race with my family.
