Just wanted to say thanks to all you guys that share your knowledge on here. I had a couple of issues with my truck and was told by the dealer it was gonna cost over $ 1500.00 to get them all fixed. I am out of warranty and didn't want to spend that much on something that I was sure I could probably do myself.

I had code P0449, had read alot about this and also found a member that had a great write up posted in the forum. Mission accomplished code cleared! I also had the dreaded " Service 4WD" message come up on the DIC, once again, read alot. Ordered the switch on the dash and the encoder motor. Replaced both and it works. I found that my switch was not the problem but the encoder motor was the problem. All my parts were ordered from GMPP (Parts) I had found the part numbers from READING The Forum. So to all members thanks ! To all Noob's, Research your problem on here and use the Search function, chances are you are not the first person to have this problem. Sorry I don't have any pics of the repairs, I'm still trying to get the hang of this computer stuff. :seeya::D

I think this should be stickied, it's amazing what you can find out with the search function. Not to mention how much faster it is than waiting for the right person to sign on, find your thread, and type up the answer that they have probably typed up many times before. :chevy:

It's nice to see a thread like this. Too often we are asked to answer a question and never find out if the fix/answer worked. Thanks.

+1 on the search function. There's a ton of info on here if people would a take a few minutes and search for it.

Glad to hear you got things fixed!

I'll admit that there's a bunch of nonsense on this site but that's what keeps people around to make sure guys like you get your questions answered. Glad to hear you were able to save some money TOO! These guys are great!!!

Nonsense is not all bad. I enjoy reading all the different threads. Hoping to tackle the Corvette Servo install this week sometime and it should go pretty smooth since I've read every thread on here concerning it. This site does work no doubt about it. Thanks again. Jarrod "Red"
