So i dropped my friends lawn mower back at his house and was driving home, still not in a good mood because of my recent break up with my girlfriend (just a quick question, is it just me, or after a breakup with someone that you were legitimately into and had sincere feelings for EVERY SINGLE THING reminds you of them. a song, a word, a piece of clothing, my truck, a place, a certain tv commercial, etc. etc. or am i just crazy?) and I pull up to a red light where a Green tundra crew cab 5.7? V8 was there. I had my windows down and was actually listening to sweet home alabama and he looks at me and does the head upwards nod and then points to me and points to himself and i did the affirmative nod. so the light turned green and I beat him off the line and was going a little bit but then i was like ahead of him and stopped because i didnt think he was trying... but then he smoked me. I wanted to actually do a rematch but i just came home. that shithead played possum and i fell for it.

break-up or did she kick your pot-head ass to the curb? If it was mutual, then you are crazy, if she dropped you like a bad habit, then it is ok to be that way for about a minute or two.

she dumped me. its a long story, and i want to get drunk and tell someone. but my spring break has been uneventful, anyways. back to me losing to the tundra...

As much as I hate the Tundra, if it was a new (07+) 5.7 Tundra against your 4.8, you didn't stand a chance in hell. Of all the negative things that can be said about the Tundra, being "slow" is not one of them.

I am betting a stock Crewmax 5.7 would give my tuned 6.0 Vmax a good run for my money. Hell, I would be ecstatic if I only beat one by a half-length.

My best friend has an 07 or 08 Tundra with the 5.7. That is one quick truck for being dead stock. I think my Vmax would take him in the 1/4 (after Justin did his thing of course), but he would absolutely kill me off the line. That is IF he didn't sit there smoking the tires.

I would not own that truck if you beat the crap out of me and then paid me, but the 5.7/6speed combo makes our 4.8/5.3/6.0 trucks truly look "like a rock".

My old neighbor's Tundra was quick. Really quick. That 6 speed along with 4:30 gears gets out of town fast. It's a very nice drivetrain.

Tundra and Titan are both pretty strong. My Titan was lightning fast off the line compared to my GMC and towed like a dream.

Too bad those were the only GOOD qualities it had.

Yeah...I canceled my Cox account when I sold my house...So they're going through there and deleting my online stuff (some of it is still there, although I can't access it).
