Used Gmc

Hello all,

I am looking for a used GMC 2500, crew cab, 4x4, newer than 2002. I would like to know if there are any years, engines, transmissions I need to stay away from. I will tow a 7000- 8000lb trailer a couple times a year, so gas or diesel not not matter. Should I go with the 6.0 gas or the 6.6 diesel with the Allison. Any advice would be greatly apperciated.

There wasn't a lot of change from 02 to 06. Other than a few options, they are mostly the same truck. The 6.0 is a solid, long lasting performer. I'd buy on condition and get reasonable miles if possible... but that's normal for just about any vehicle.

all depends on what you plan to do with it...how much towing/any mountain driving/how long to keep it/.....
