Finally rescued the hostage captain. 3 out of the 4 Pirates have assumed room temperature. One in custody

How do these pirates come aboard these huge ships anyways? Don't they come up in small boats? These cargo carriers should should be armed with a couple cannons or rifles or something to blow these guys out of the water when they come near.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm assuming that these ships crew members don't carry guns because of some international law or somrthing. Easiest way to avoid this situation again is to arm the crew.

My understanding is that they SEAL team was onboard escorting the ship to port and then went back and finished the job.

I believe merchant ships aren't allowed to carry weapons. They are supposed to use the a water hose of some sort to deter these guys. Pretty pathetic.
