I actually had the deck and sirius from a previous truck but the costs go like this

DNX-5120 deck Ebay $600

PAC OS-4 $200 Crutchfield

SWI-Jack $70 Crutchfield

Install bezel $30 Local dealer

Sirius Interface cable $20 Tss-Radio

Sirius Tuner $$48 Tss-Radio

So in total just under $1000

My factory steering wheel controls work awesome. Thats what the swi-jack does. and with the OS-4 since there both made by PAC the install is cake. The only thing that I had to figure out with the steering wheel controls was in the instructions it says to turn the key to accessory to program. I did this several times and did not realize that it worked when the key was turn to accessory but not while the truck was running. When I called support they told me to re-do my connections as that was most likely the problem. Once I figured it out, I just programmed the unit while the truck was running and it has worked perfect since.

The Chimes and blinkers come through the cm-x module that comes with the OS-4. they sound different than the factory but I got used to it

I have installed several systems so wiring is not a big deal for me. I usually just take the harness into my living room and do it front of the tv. Then bring everything out to the truck and make the last final connections. So I would say it was worth it.

As much as I like my deck, I love how the stock looks and sounds especially with the bose. I always feel the if it's stock you are less likely to get robbed (which has happened to me a couple of times). I just couldn't pull the trigger on $2000 for my stereo. Especially because I did that a few times when I was younger when I was trying to make my ears bleed from the music being so loud!!

Hey, did you have any problems with using the factory steering wheel mute key? I got every other one programed just fine, but the mute would not even make the light "confirm" pressing it. All else is working fine.

Thanks,

Craig

Sorry for the delayed response, I did not see that it was reply'd to. No, I did not have any problems with the mute key. I had some general problems and it turns out I had to program it while the truck was running instead of just having the key forward.

i just ordered the DNX9140 with the PAC OS-4, PAC SWI-JACK, Kenwood KCA-iP301V, the install kit and the antenna adapter that is needed. Also going to try and hook up my BOYO reverse camera, just need to figure out how to run the wire from the licenseplate to the HU

Don't know if you did install already but I ran my wire through the e-brake plug. It sucked doing it, but it ended up being water tight because the cable is small.

It is the metra install kit. I originally installed the Scosche kit but the color was off and it just did not look good. The color is very close on the Metra and there is a little bit of a bigger gap but it if you look under the temp controls there is a little gap there as well so not too bad. The color diff bothered me more than the gap.

I had to modify it a little with a dremmel here and there and put a couple of washers to push it out a little but overall pretty happy with it.

Great Pictures, I will be doing mine soon the pics really help out,, I have the os 4 and swi-jack too now did you just connect your jack switch directly to os4 and thats all?. Your stereo wiring harnes did you have to splice together with the os4 wires that feed to replacement stereo? I will be using rca pre amp outputs on back of kenwood bt948hd to run speaker outputs to amp ,, but i am wondering about the red/yellow/black/ etc on the os4 to deck harness any advice on that part??
