Any one know how to rewire the navigation system so it s fully operational while driving. Should atleast let the passenger be able to input info for directions.

They have what you need. I don't know if it is the cheapest route for what your wanting to do but imo this is the best.

I have a Lockpick, which works great. However, if you *just* want to input stuff while in motion and unlock all the menus, it doesn't get much cheaper than this.

I may do this.

Team, if anyone is unaware of this, you do NOT need to spend the money on a LockPick if you desire to utilize your NAV while driving and enter addresses and modify settings. In addition, you also don't need it to add a camera.

By simply splicing a SPST toggle switch between the GREEN/WHT Striped wire (Vehicle Speed Sense Wire) entering the back of the radio, the switch acts as a cut off of the VSS function so the NAV thinks your standing still while driving so you can do what ever you want to your NAV. I have done this mod to my 07 SD and my wife's 08 Enclave and it works AWESOME! When you put the switch back into the on position, it starts to track again in less than 5 seconds.

I installed the switch (from Radio Shack for $2.99) on the panel directly underneath the steering column so it's very easy to access while driving. You can, however, put it anywhere you want or hide it as well.

This will work on all NBS trucks but the old style with NAV have the same VSS wire...just check with your dealer to see if the color coding remained the same.

As far as a camera, I found a new harness on eBay to allow you to connect a camera to your NAV. Once installed, all you will need to do is have your local dealer program your NAV to switch to the camera upon placing your vehicle in reverse.

What does he mean by this? Why would I want to turn it off?

because its tricking the nav that you are not moving so the gps thinks you are stopped. and you can input your destination

when you turn it back on, im assuming it finds itself in 5 seconds and then your gps will know where you are again.

Installed the switch today and went on a test run. Driving 30 mph and turning on "Edit" (or should i say off) the switch the navigation address bar lights up but it only stays on for about 10-15 seconds than is greyed out again. No time to input really anything before the enter address bar and keys are greyed out. Has anyone seen this before or experienced this, Any help is appreciated.
