Abs And "!" Brake Light

Hello All!!!!

I just had my truck regeared to 4.56 and now both of the brake lights come on. I took it to the dealership, and they said that it was because of the wheel sensor reporting something different than the ABS system expecting. They said it needed to be reprogrammed, but they could not do it as they only deal with stock options. (GM goes to 4.10) Is there anything out there I can buy to program the EBCM or a place that should have one? I have already programed the engine's computer through a Hypertech HyperPAC, but apparently, the EBCM needs tweeking as well. Any help would be great.

Oh, its a 05 Silverado 1500 LD. 35" Tires and 4.56 Yukon Gears in the front and the rear.

I agree. Find a 3rd party shop which has the electronic gadgets for this.

Every time I search for the gizmos to do this sort of thing, they have a zillion dollar price tag attached! (Well in the thousands if dollars...)

Yea I got your pm and I have a diablo sport programmer that you can change gearing ratio and tire size plus much more in the trucks pcm such a fuel delivery.

Since you already have a handled I would look into hypertec about this issue and ask them if they have any answers to this because I bet this has came up.

It is a handled and very easy to use and the dealership cannot detect if you have changed parameters in the trucks computer. (here comes the debate of custom tune vs hand held) I like the hand held because if I can change it in 5 min by just sitting in my truck and doing it. Plus you can log information about what the engine is doing. I purchased mine off autoanything.com and I got in very fast and have enjoyed every minute of it.

I would also recommend getting the hookup to the computer which is a power cord and a usb cord that plugs into the tuner so that you can update for free online and the diablo sport website has a great forum that is full of information about the tuner. I am an amateur compared to most of the people on there.

You might have to check the website www.diablosport.com to check to see if that application works for you I am not for sure. Let me call a shop that I use to work for and see what they recommend I will need year, make model of truck for them also engine for the programmer or what they recommend since new stuff comes out all the time.

That's my 2 cents.

Thanks

Justin
