Grill Inserts?

Recommended Posts

I seen this one on E-Bay, I like it but wish it only had the horizontal bars instead of the vertical ones as well?

Anyone have one, mind sharing some pics of it installed? Also looking for other ideas/pics as I am more confused now than ever on which one to go with :P Thanks......Irv

Also thinking of door handle, mirror covers etc, who makes a quality product and who to stay away from?

I'm interested also. Looks nice. I saw the chrome tailgate handle on ebay for 27 bucks. My dealer wanted 365 installed.

It will cost you a bit more than an insert, but have you considered the OEM All-Terrain or Denali grilles?

It's not out of the question but I am basically looking for something not too many others have?

I just checked the gm accessories site and they are &380.00 US, I am sure they would be $450-$500 here? A little too rich for me at this point...........Irv

I got my Denali grill for under $300 :P off ebay

Carriage works is another good aftermarket grill maker.

Actually, just looked at my 2009/Sierra pamphlet and the All-Terrain grill is the one I want, it is similar to the E-Bay one I posted but doesn't have the vertical lines, which I don't want.

Curious now what the All-Terrain grill will actually sell for? Nothing on E-Bay that I seen earlier but I will have to keep my eyes peeled.

Stevens07, when you changed your's out, was it very difficult? Thanks.......Irv

I thought it was pretty easy. Only difficult part was getting it disconnected from the bumper cap. Matt had to take his off, but I was able to get the grill out without having to remove the bummer cap.

Good luck

When I saw the post topic I was a bit frightened. I see a lot of guys that over-do it in this area. You have a good taste in the grille though. I can't stand the ones that look like a piece of sheet metal in front.

Not sure what they have to offer for sierras, but I have carriage works cutout on mine and the quality and fitment was great. I got mine at www.autoanything.com which was had the best price.

The grill swap on my truck was fairly straight-forward...I did remove the bumper cap when I did the swap...which was the hardest part.

I found a few on ebay...here's one.

Also, here is the GM part # 25809578

Thanks Kilo, that would be perfect but I'm afraid what the total cost would be getting it delivered up here? With the exchange, duty, txs, shipping etc, it may be cheaper to purchase it here in Canada?

I like everything about the e-bay one I posted except the upper left and right hand corners, they shouldn't have chromed those sections!

To me it doesn't look right having nothing in the middle(I know they can't because of the hood latch) but they shouldn't have chromes those sections imo.

I am hoping to go to the dealer tomorrow to have a few adjustments done so I will see what I can get one for there? Hopefully the GM employee discount is still in affect, I know it was recently voted out but I am not sure if that was immediate or set for a future date? :P

I paid $275 for my OEM AT grille. But I got it for 10% over dealer cost from a friend who works at a dealership. I have seen them selling for $300 on ebay though.

It is worth the extra $$$ compared to the cheap aftermarket ebay crap IMO.
