I have the GMPP cold-air kit on my truck. When the filter is due for replacement, I'm probably going to use an AEM filter. I like the GMPP and AEM filters because they are "dry"...as in they don't use oil on the filter media. This oil can foul sensors...

The best IMO

What I like about the Injen is that it does not make a lot of noise as compared to the Volant.

Can be had under $300 with a quick search.

Ive had several brands CAIs. I like the AEM and Volant Inatakes. Both offer dry filters now. You can hear the Air rushing through the AEM. The Volant is quiet.

just put an s and b cai on my truck. Love the look of it and the sound. My parts guy showed me the volent and the intake hole was a 1/4 the size. and the s and b was about 150 cheaper.

Was the difference noticeable? Does the filter last as long as the stocker "HD" in my truck? Do you run the stocker box i the winter?? Is icing during the cold months an issue??

I run an Airaid MIT and a Fram Airhog Filter. The stock setup is already a CAI so your not gonna see much improvement with an aftermarket unit. I found the MIT on ebay for around 50 and the filter on Amazon for like 10. Works for me.
