Green_Monster Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Just thought I would share this article I found. We all will have our opinions on this topic, (no need to start a fight) but personally, I agree with the article. WE are not necessarily the cause, the climate change is just part of the Earth's ongoing process. From the founder of the Weather Channel.... Article Link
Silverado4x4 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Your just now finding this out? Its been a scam for years and yes it is a natural cycle.
P71_CrownVic Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I just found out it was a scam when I went to Burger King today:
Green_Monster Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 I've been convinced for years, but I ran across this article today from google and thought I would share.
P71_CrownVic Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I've been convinced for years, but I ran across this article today from google and thought I would share. So have I...the Burger King story broke today...seemed pertinent. Well...I shouldn't call it a "scam". The planet could very well be warming up...due to natural cycles. Fact is, the very short time we have been collecting weather data is nowhere near the amount of information necessary to even speculate as to if/why the plant is warming. And as far as I am concerned, being able to see my breath in the middle of the afternoon on JUNE SEVENTH...tells me that the planet is NOT warming and possibly cooling. But none of this is because of humans. The earth goes through cycles...that last a VERY long time.
VMax2007 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 And as far as I am concerned, being able to see my breath in the middle of the afternoon on JUNE SEVENTH...tells me that the planet is NOT warming and possibly cooling. or maybe it's telling you to buy some Scope or Listerine?

Dukers Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I dont want to argue, or get into a fight because im not going to waste my time reading long posts or POSTS WITH THIS TELLING ME IM WRONG AND RETARDED. i personally think its a combination of both a natural cycle and human help that the climate is changing. I just think its sad what we do to the planet and have no regard for it, not just global warming. **** hybrid cars though.

Nick The Great Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 We have to be VERY conceited to believe that we are causing Global Warming. All I know is my Grandma would tell stories of it being too hot to sleep in the house in the 30's. My parents talk about the record colds and snows in 83 (the year of Nick ). Also, my mom would say how damn hot it was that summer when she was 7 or 8 months pregnant. And I remember some scorching summers, and lots of non-white Christmas's as a child. It almost seems as though climates "cycle" over the years. This last winter we had was the coldest I can remember in a few years.
ryan_hermanutz Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 It’s cause and effect. Are cars causing the earth to heat up to the point of boiling the Arctic Ocean, no I doubt it. But the amount of pollution that we pump into the air has got to have some effect. You can either go off the deep end and overreact and sell your car ride a bicycle or walk everywhere. You can call bullshit and not believe scientists who have come to a general consensus that were are making the problem worse and go about your daily lives without care. Or you can fall in-between those two and try to make a little difference where you can. To me global warming is just like religious faith, what are you going to do if you’re wrong?

Not for religion, global warming, or anything else.
Dukers Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 To me global warming is just like religious faith, what are you going to do if you're wrong? Error on the good side. Be friends with God, Alah, Buddah, and the Emperors of Egypt and Japan. You can also do your simple part by not being wasteful. Since, lets just say the world is not affected at all by humans, its good to not be wasteful anyways. Being conservative in all aspects and beliefs (of climate) is logical. I don't care who you are and if you are the scientists that disproves global warming, it doesn't make sense to waste electricity, AC, etc. That response is half joke half serious. But I agree, it's ridiculous to be an extremist on either side, but I do think that we should fall somewhere in the middle.

Not for religion, global warming, or anything else. The “what are you going to do if your wrong” was about religion in general, not a specific religion. Why not act in a conservative way, what is it going to hurt?
ZZ327 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 talk to me about global warming the next time winter rolls around. We hit lows of -14 a couple days!
