Would You Drive This Car

Guys...I've been watching this car on AutoTrader for over 3 months now...and this dealer is having no luck whatsoever selling this car...it has already had 2 price drops.

 

Colors, IMO, are the reason. I've owned enough of these Prix's, and I always bought the "popular" colors...White, Black, Red, Dark Blue, etc...

 

OK. Here's part 2 of this story. Tech that works across the shop from me has been bothering me about 3x a week on purchasing my recently-acquired 1991 Sierra SLE. We already have a "rough" price figured out, where I make a little profit, then he is going to purchase the truck from me. It's all ok with me.

The 02 Grand Prix has the intake gaskets that dissolve over time because of the dexcool coolant. I wouldn't waste my time with these GM cars. I think they fixed this on 2003 or 2005. I can't remember exactly when.

Peeked at the Carfax

 

FLA car till June 2006 than Wisconsin car. No accidents reported, clean title. 2 Owners and dealer service while in Fla.

 

Carfax shows wheel bearing replacement at 25k and trans service at 75k, otherwise nothing detrimental.

 

Kelley shows trade in value at about $4500 in my zip code but everything seems more expensive in So Cal.

I don't think it's really all that bad. If it's in good shape and you're happy with the price then why not go for it? If you want more information on these cars check out www.clubgp.com or www.oqcgp.net. They're both really good resources on these cars. I know the one is a Canadian site but there's a lot of great guys on there who I have met personally and I know that they'd help you out.
