Tow Mirrors Same For 1500 & 2500's?

Does anyone know if the camper style mirrors are the same for the 1/2 ton 1500 and the 3/4 ton 2500 GMT900 trucks? The part numbers are 25879083(L) and 25838625® on the 2500 but they are 25815978 and 79 for the 1500. One parts dept is telling me that they will fit, but I want to be sure before I plunk down $$.

Hmm, on the same body style they SHOULD fit, my mirrors were off a 2500hd I think.

Should all be the same. Maybe the others have turn signals, heat, yada yada.

That'd be my guess but I'd try to find out for sure from someone that knows before you pick them up since there is a difference in the number it would be a good idea to know what the difference is.

Tell the parts guy you want to try them on the truck out in the parking lot, BEFORE YOU PAY, ... and if they don' t fit or whatever... then just take them back into the store and leave them on the counter.

Thanks for the responses. I bought them.

Did they work well?

Still haven't received them. It wasn't a local purchase and they are being shipped.

No worries. Let me know when you do get them and have a chance to install them. Just curious as to how easy/difficult it was. :)

Um, camper style mirrors are NOT power fold...At least I've never heard of that...It's only the DL3 (regular style) mirrors that power fold.

Wow thanks, you gave me the courage to really tug on it and you are correct. So...I retract my last note and can say that the 2500 mirrors are plug and play onto the 1500 GMT900 trucks. I'm not sure if there are any differences between the 1500 and 2500 mirrors other than part numbers because they do fit perfectly. If 1500 camper mirrors have the "objects are closer than they appear" glass, then that's it because these mirrors do not have that.

Yeah when they're new they take quite a bit of force to move...But I've bumped mine so many times now that they're not so hard to fold in and out.
