Taken from article:

Mahindra Trucks coming to North America.

"Industry marketing firm AutoPacific has published a new consumer attitude survey that offers encouragement to Mahindra dealers.

The survey asked 32,000 recent vehicle buyers whether they would consider buying a Chinese- or Indian-brand vehicle for their next purchase, even though no such brand currently exists here.

Eleven percent of the group said yes to India; 15 percent said yes to China.

That might not sound like a large percentage, says Dan Hall, AutoPacific vice president. But it comes close to the 16 percent of survey respondents who said they would consider buying a Korean-brand vehicle. "

I've seen the same questions, concerns on my tractor forum about chinese, india made tractors. Dealer network and parts availability help decide if a foreign tractor is worth purchasing. plowking

I'm with Will on this one. I like to buy American if I can, it's getting harder and harder every day to find those 3 magic letters "USA".

^^^^ My thoughts EXACTLY.

It's bad enough trying to get India "Tech Support" to understand what it is I'm talking about when I can for service on my American made products.

I still buy "American" vehicles but I'm starting to wonder what that means exactly. My Dodge Magnum had it's engine assembled in Mexico and the car was built in Canada. Is that really better for the American economy than to purchase a Honda that is assembled here in the states? You might be surprised at just how many components of out own GM trucks are purchased elsewhere. It would be interesting to see someone crawl through the numbers on a few different vehicles to see just where the money and jobs go when you "Buy American" vs. a foreign brand which is designed and built here.

That waters get murky there. Your Toyota's may be built in Alabama, but use more foreign parts, and all vehicle profits go back to Japan. My truck (and car) were built in Canada, but vehicle profits go back to the US.

But some people try to say blue-collar dollars are more important than white-collar dollars. But then white-collar tax dollars pay the no-collar welfare people.:D:lol:
