Mines a '21 standard bed Denali with the 3.0L GVWR = 7200 lb Curb wt = 5834 lb Payload = 1366 lb GCWR = 15,000 Conventional trailer rating = 8800 Maximum Tongue weight = 880 (10%) Gooseneck rating = 6500 maximum tongue = 975 (15%) Payload is gonna always be GVWR - curb, if less stuff on truck more payload. Sunroof, standard box instead of short box and so on. Anyway, with this truck, I'd be quite happy pulling the OP's 6500lb trailer.

They are using both the L82 and L84 5.3's Base trims use the AFM L82 5.3L (sierra base truck and chev WT Custom and Custom TB use this motor) Other trims use the DFM L84 5.3L L87 is the 6.2 DFM LV3 is the I4 2.7 turbo L3B is the V6 4.3L AFM LM2 is the I6 dmax in the 1500 LT8 is the new 6.6L gas in the HD's L5P is the 6.6L Dmax in the HD's 6 engines in the 1500's 2 engines in the 2500/3500 5.3L with 10speed is still available on sierra (but combo is not currently available on silverado) On Sierra: MQB Transmission, 10-speed automatic, electronically controlled with overdrive and tow/haul mode. Only 4Lo disables esc and tc. They stay on in 4hi. Both can be turned off manually. Traction control will stay off until you turn it back on or until next time it's restarted. Stability control will turn itself back on at about 35 mph. To turn off TC press and release the button To turn off both TC ESC press and hold the button until lights for both come on to indicate they are disables.

Not sure if this helps your cause, but seems there are some with a clamp issue... https://gm-techlink.com/?p=13781 Particulate Matter Sensor Protection Tube Performance Diagnostic Setting False DTC October 13, 2020 The particulate matter sensor protection tube performance diagnostic may set a false DTC P1488 (Particulate Matter Sensor Temperature Circuit High Voltage) on some 2020 Silverado and Sierra trucks equipped with the 3.0L Duramax diesel engine (RPO LM2). The Check Engine MIL also may be illuminated. If the vehicle has DTC P1488 set, check if the particulate matter sensor is loose in the exhaust pipe. If the particulate matter sensor is loose, follow the diagnostics in the appropropriate Service Information. If the particulate matter sensor is properly torqued and DTC P1488 is set, test the exhaust for leaks using the GE-52250 Power Smoke Diagnostic Leak Detector. Since the sealing bladder cannot be installed in the tailpipe upstream of the exhaust cooler, it’s recommended to use duct tape to seal the cooler. Repair any leaks as needed and replace the particulate matter sensor. If the joint shown is leaking (Fig. 23), the clamp may have bottomed out before sufficient clamp load was applied to the joint. (Fig. 24) The clamp should be replaced if this condition exists. Fig. 23 Fig. 24 Refer to #PIP5748A for additional information. -

Yes, slightly less mpg with it in auto as the actuator on the front axle stays engaged. -

You missed 'longer warranty on the 3.0L' -
Reading between the lines, what they're also saying is that they aren't having to replace brakes. Truck has had rotors and pads and is apparently still doing it. Previous vehicles driven the same way didn't do it. Others driving similar vehicles aren't having this problem. Something is different on that truck. Have the calipers been changed? Something in brake booster not allowing them to release correctly? Does it wear'em out on both sides or is one side worse? Certainly sounds like the issue must be something that hasn't been changed. FWIW, 2010 and earlier GM HD's had a reputation for crappy brakes. Can't help you with squealer question. I'm also in the camp that has never had to change brakes on an '11 thru '19 chassis.

FWIW, the 2.8L, the 3.9L and the 6.6L Dmax engines all use different oil specifications... For the 6.6L: Engine oils with the letters CJ-4 or CK-4 are required for your vehicle. The CJ-4 or CK-4 designation can appear either alone or in combination with other American Petroleum Institute (API) designations, such as API CJ-4/SL. These letters show API levels of quality. To determine the preferred viscosity for your vehicle's diesel engine, see Engine Oil pg 90. Viscosity Grade Use SAE 15W-40 viscosity grade engine oil. When it is very cold, below −18 °C (0 °F), use SAE 5W-40 to improve cold starting. The additive package in oils for gasoline engines is different than for the diesels. If it was my truck, I'd change the oil sooner, rather than later. -

My 2018 2500 called for 60F and 70R Some dealers will reprogram the pressures in the TPMS. May not be true for all vehicles, but it is for the HD's -- I watched mine done. They used the laptop, connected to the truck wirelessly, and it only took a couple minutes. I had the tpms set to 50F 50 R (whatever tpms numbers are programmed as 'recommended' pressure will show in the mylink app...) For unloaded and not towing I set cold pressures to 55F 50-52R -

https://gm-techlink.com/?p=13727 Delayed Transmission Engagement September 30, 2020 Some 2018-2019 ATS, CTS, CT6, Corvette; 2018-2020 Express; 2018-2021 Camaro, Colorado, Silverado, Canyon, Savana, Sierra; and 2021 CT4 models equipped with the 8L45 or 8L90 8-speed automatic transmission (RPO M5T, M5N, M5U, M5X, MQD, MQE) may have a delayed engagement condition when the transmission is shifted from Park to Reverse or Park to Drive after the vehicle has been sitting with the engine off. (Fig. 12) The delayed engagement typically occurs after several hours or, more commonly, overnight. Fig. 12 The condition may seem to be delayed gear engagement, a slipping transmission, or delayed engagement followed by a harsh engagement. The transmission is designed to allow three seconds to complete a garage shift (shifting from Park to Reverse or Park to Drive). If the engine speed is increased before the transmission has engaged, the garage shift may be harsh. After the initial shift, transmission operation will be normal for the subsequent engagements. The condition will not occur again until the vehicle sits again with the engine off for several hours or overnight. Delayed Engagement Test Use GDS2 to monitor engine RPM and the transmission input speed sensor (ISS) prior to starting the engine. Start the engine with the transmission in Park and shift the vehicle from Park to Drive or Park to Reverse with the service brake applied. The ISS should drop to zero within three seconds, which is the clutch engagement time. Recording the GDS session log can be useful in diagnosing the condition. Delayed engagement of Park to Reverse or Park to Drive is present if the time difference between the gear selected (Pt. 1) and the transmission input shaft speed reaching 0 RPMs (Pt. 2) exceeds three seconds. (Fig 13) Fig. 13 In most cases, the transmission will engage in three seconds or less, which is considered an acceptable engagement time and no repairs should be attempted. TIP: The vehicle should only be evaluated after sitting for a minimum of eight hours but less than 24 hours and at an ambient temperature of 50°F (10°C) or above. If engagement time exceeds three seconds, attempt to learn the C3 – Drive and C5 Reverse – Clutch using the following steps: Allow the transmission sump temperature to rise between 20° and 30°C (68° and 86°F). Do not apply the accelerator pedal. Perform 20 Park to Reverse shifts or 20 Park to Drive shifts releasing the brake pedal with each shift, allowing the vehicle to roll 5-10 feet (1.5-3.0 m) per engagement into gear. If the learn procedure does not correct the condition, disassemble the transmission and inspect the 1-3-5-6-7 Clutch (C3) for a delay into Drive condition and inspect the 4-5-6-7-8 Reverse Clutch (C5) for a delay into Reverse condition. The respective clutch plates and seals should be inspected for wear and or damage and repaired accordingly. If the vehicle has less than 2,500 miles (4,000 km), the transmission or valve body has been replaced or a clutch repair has been performed, follow the clutch learn procedure in Bulletin #16-NA-019 to learn the C5 Reverse and C3 Drive Clutch. For additional information on a delayed transmission engagement condition, refer to Bulletin #20-NA-187. -

Have your tried adjusting the 'brightness' settings on the rear camera mirror? (I'm guessing yes, but just in case...) Is the camera lense clean? Rear Camera Mirror If equipped, this automatic dimming mirror provides a wide angle camera view of the area behind the vehicle. Pull the tab to turn on the display. Push the tab to turn it off. When off the mirror is automatic dimming. Adjust the mirror for a clear view of the area behind the vehicle while the display is off. Press (checkmark) to scroll through the adjustment options. Press L/R arrows)to adjust the settings using the indicators on the mirror. The indicators will remain visible for five seconds after the last button activation, and the settings will remain saved. The adjustment options are: . Brightness . Zoom . Tilt See your dealer for service if a blue screen and camera/caution icon are displayed in the mirror, and the display shuts off. Also, push the tab as indicated to return to the automatic dimming mode. The Rear Camera Mirror may not work properly or display a clear image if: . There is glare from the sun or headlamps. This may obstruct objects from view. If needed, push the tab to turn off the display. . Dirt, snow, or other debris blocks the camera lens. Clean the lens with a soft damp cloth. . The camera’s mounting on the vehicle has been damaged, and/ or the position or the mounting angle of the camera has changed. -

Yupp, that button with the truck going down a steep hill under a speedo dial is for HDC. I've had several trucks equipped with it, but so far haven't used it. Hill Descent Control (HDC) (HDC) sets and maintains vehicle speed while driving down steep grades in a forward or reverse gear. The HDC switch is on the center stack, below the climate controls. Press HDC switch to enable or disable HDC. Vehicle speed must be below 50 km/h (31 mph). When enabled, the HDC light displays on the instrument cluster. A blinking HDC light indicates the system is actively applying the brakes to maintain vehicle speed. HDC can maintain vehicle speeds between 1 and 22 km/h (1 and 14 mph) on grades greater than or equal to 10%. If HDC is to be used for more than three minutes or on grades steeper than 25%, the transfer case should be put into Four-Wheel Drive Low (4 L) to reduce the possibility of brake overheating. Noise from the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) is normal when HDC is active. When HDC is activated, the initial HDC speed is set to the current driving speed. It can be increased or decreased by pressing +RES or SET- on the steering wheel, or by applying the accelerator or brake pedal. This adjusted speed becomes the new set speed. HDC will remain enabled between 30 and 60 km/h (19 and 37 mph); however, vehicle speed cannot be set or maintained in this range. HDC will automatically disable if the vehicle speed is above 80 km/h (50 mph) or above 60 km/h (37 mph) for at least 30 seconds. Switch must be pressed again to re-enable HDC. HDC may disable after an extended period of use. If this happens, HDC will require time to cool down. The length of time HDC remains active depends on road conditions, grade, set speed, vehicle loading, and outside temperature. When enabled, if the vehicle speed is above 30 km/h (19 mph) and below 60 km/h (37 mph), a DIC message will display.

Apologies. You are correct. I need to read / interpret more carefully. What the order guide shows is: Z71 Z71 Off-Road Package, includes (Z71) Off-Road suspension, (JHD) Hill Descent Control, (NZZ) skid plates and (K47) heavy-duty air filter With a bunch of restrictions on availability, and this RPO is not on trailboss HOWEVER: Z7X Suspension Package, Z71 Off-Road equipment with 2" lift. Includes (Z7X) Off-Road suspension with 2" lift and monotube shocks, (JHD) Hill Descent Control, (NZZ) skid plates, (K47) heavy-duty air filter and Z71 hard badge This RPO is standard on both Trailboss versions, and not available on other trims. In any case, still means a factory LTZ won't come lifted. (Not sure why they don't put a Z7X badge on a trailboss) -
Adjusting torsion bars for snowplow

Alignment will only be out if the ride height is changed from the original no plow height. As long as the ride height with the plow and bar adjustment is the same as the no plow and no adjustment height the alignment will be fine. -

Is it the new for '19 body style or is it the same as the '18's? (both were offered in '19) -
Cardinal Red (G7C) was available for 19/20/21 -- but as Jim E posted, not on AT4 or Denali. For 2021, availability has been added for the AT4, but it still can't be ordered on Denali.
