  5. As I said, I 'probably misunderstood' the original post. My interpretation was wanting a standard bed and didn't really care about cab - so provided the info incase that was correct. All 1500 DC's are 'standard bed' so listing bed size for one is redundant. Yes, currently all Sierra DC's are either SLE or Elevation.

I'm probably miss understanding the original post, but the 2021 AT4 crew is still available with the standard or short bed, but the cab must be a crew. 2021 1500 AT4 -- Available on 4WD Crew Cab TK10*43 models. (the * can be either a 5 -for short bed, or a 7 - for standard bed, 43 is crew, 53 is double cab) (means crew, 4wd and short or standard bed, standard bed being the double cab length) 2020 1500 AT4 -- Available on 4WD Crew Cab TK10*43 and 4WD Double Cab TK10753 models. (4wd crew with either box length, or a double cab with 'standard' box length) So the DC cab length got dropped from AT4 trim, but both box sizes are available. For '21, L84 version of the 5.3L is standard on AT4 and is available with 10 speed is standard on AT4 6.2 and 3.0 get the 10 speed as standard 4wd SLT will have the seats, and is available in double cab, with 5.3/10speed (or in crew with either box length) 4wd Denali is also available with either box length, has a 10 speed, and can be had with 5.3 or 6.2 or 3.0.

'21 3.0L in Satin Steel - Standard Bed, tow mirrors, standard 20" Denali wheels, standard step boards,(BVT), Front and Rear molded splash guards ( VQK) -all other stuff is standard on Denali, or not visible in picture If you think you might want trailer tire pressure sensors some day order them (PTT) from the factory -- much cheaper than buying as an accessory, and they are not longer included with every truck. I suspect, but didn't check, it's the same pricing thing with the 'Auxiliary Trailer Camera' (TRO). Probably more pricey from accessories.
  10. GM used to put radio antenna's in the front glass. As I recall, it was a common to improve radio reception by adding an external antenna.
  11. I only notice it under harder than 'normal' acceleration. At cruise speed it's not noticeable at all. Since they are capable of producing the torque starting at a lower rpm, it isn't necessary to get the rpms high to accelerate. With the 10 speed doing it's thing it just doesn't often need to be at higher rpm. I do run with the radio on almost all the time -- but not at loud volumes. I do however always pay attention to the noised made by machines, equipment and vehicles. Imho, this engine/trans/diff combo is not noisy. All modern diesels use the common rail injection system, with multiple fuel injections per cycle. Injectors are opened electronically. This is part of the reason they don't have the noticeable injection noise that was so common in mechanical injection systems of the past. (fwiw, they are also at much much higher pressures than what the mechanical systems operated at, and the mechanical systems produced one fuel pulse per cycle) OTOH, if you are in the habit of spending a lot of time with the 'burb's skinny pedal against the firewall, then I'd guess you'll do the same with the 3.0, and you will notice the noise while accelerating. Any thought's on getting a Yukon Denali vs a Sierra Denali?
  12. Current GM HD ones overlap the sills so no carpet is exposed. I don't believe they will drain out --- but might overflow out.
  13. You have a 3.0L (that includes the block heater) or an optional factory block heater on a gasser? Ottawa area, so working in *C and it was -20*C (-4*F) ? Was it -20*C when you started it? How did it start? Mine hasn't seen temps that low yet.

  16. There is also a CHSML with TWO cameras. One looks in the cargo box - displays on the dash screen. One looks to the rear - for the camera rear view mirror.
  17. As well as grade, it's also important to note/track any wind or traffic as the both also impact fuel economy. Setting adaptive cruise and following a smooth sided semi-truck/trailer can make a big different in the economy. Of course it depending on the trucks choice of speed, it might make the trip longer ?
  18. If using a phone for navigation, the truck is only used as a display -- it is displaying what the phone is sending. To change the icon / display mode, when running from a phone app, you'll need to change the setting in the app on the phone.. The built-in nav points the 'arrow' in direction of travel, however, like many GPS units/apps the built-in one gives a choice of having the display with 2D north up, 2D with direction of travel up or 3D with direction of travel up. If you post details regarding what phone/app you are using, maybe someone familiar with the app can offer further suggestion.

You may likely already have the new Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP transmission fluid (and it may be why the truck doesn't have the issue.) https://gm-techlink.com/?p=11127 TCC Shudder and New Mobil 1 Fluid Exchange January 31, 2019 A new transmission fluid exchange procedure and a new formula of Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP transmission fluid have been released to address torque converter clutch (TCC) shudder conditions on 8L45 and 8L90 8-speed automatic transmissions (RPOs M5N, M5T, M5U, M5X) in some 2015-2017 Escalade, Yukon; 2015-2018 Silverado, Sierra; 2015-2019 Corvette; 2016-2018 CT6; 2016-2019 ATS, CTS, Camaro; and 2017-2019 Colorado and Canyon models. The new fluid exchange procedure requires the use of the DT-45096 TransFlow Cooler Flush Machine and DT-52263 Transmission Fluid Exchange Tool Kit. (Fig. 10) The tool kit began shipping to dealerships at no charge in late January 2019. All GM dealerships should receive the tool kits by the end of March 2019. Fig. 10 Shudder Test The new service procedure addresses shake and/or shudder conditions during light throttle acceleration between 25 and 80 MPH (40 and 128 KM/H) at a steady speed when the transmission is not shifting gears. To ensure TCC shudder is diagnosed correctly, drive the vehicle on a smooth road with transmission sump temperature between 122°F (50°C) – 158°F (70°C). Constant throttle input on a smooth grade is needed. A shudder condition may also be a chuggle, surge or vibration condition. Use GDS 2 or the CH-51450 PicoScope to confirm that the concern is TCC shudder and not a tire/wheel vibration or a driveline vibration, for example. A screen print from GDS 2 or the PicoScope showing the TCC shudder event must be attached to the Repair Order hard copy. (Fig. 11) If TCC shudder is present, a vibration peak will appear within +/- 2 Hz of the frequency listed in Bulletin #18-NA-355. Refer to the bulletin for additional information, including required shudder test conditions for each vehicle being diagnosed as well as the fluid exchange procedures. Fig. 11 Fluid Exchange The TCC shudder condition is related to moisture content in the transmission fluid. The current fluid tends to be hydroscopic, or absorbs moisture, which increases the chance of TCC shudder. There are three different fluid exchange procedures to follow, depending on vehicle application, so that an acceptable concentration of the new HP fluid is achieved in the transmission. The new Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP transmission fluid is now available to U.S. dealerships through your local GM Oil Distributor. The new Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP transmission fluid is available in quart bottles (GM Part Number 19417577) and, for a limited time, in 55-gallon drums (GM Part Number 19417904) (Fig. 12) in most locations. Drum production ended in January 2019. The GM part numbers are not on the product. The Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP fluid and the required tool kit will be available to all Canadian dealerships by the end of March 2019. GM Part Numbers for 0.946 liter bottles will be provided at that time. Fig. 12 TIP: Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP transmission fluid is required for all 8-speed transmission repairs regardless of the repair being completed. Quart bottles, which can be identified by a new blue banner across the front of the bottle (Fig. 13), will be limited to 20 cases/120 quarts per dealer per week during the initial launch of the new product. The new bottles also feature the HP license number J-62120 on the back label. The use of the black label Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP fluid (GM Part Number 19355656) should be discontinued.   21. I didn't try the fuel nozzle, mostly because the large ones pump so many gpm. The 3.0L has the same filler as the gassers -- with the double flap system, instead of the traditional fill cap that is used on the 6.6L trucks. I have used the truck lanes bulk def to fill def tank, on LML and an '18 L5P 6.6's and on 3.0L LM2. Much easier than messing with jugs. The new system with the def fill beside the fuel fill makes it even easier. I usually put my truck in a lane backwards when filling the def from bulk. This is not necessary with the new fill location. EDIT: I see you avatar shows a 3500 coming (I was resonding thinking the 21 you have on the way was a 3.0L. I think you'll find the large nozzle will fit (at least it would have fit on the 6.6''s listed above. But it might get messy when it gets near full....lots of 'automotive' size nozzles would result in some spillage if the flow rate not slowed soon enough.
  22. True, but the 100,000 miles speaks to the question of GM's degree of confidence in the reliability. Same warranty as the 6.6L Dmax (fwiw, the 2.8L baby max does not get the 100,000 mile warranty) Bumper to bumper is 3 year / 36,000 on all of them
  23. 3.0 has a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, vs 60,000 powertrain for the gassers. (and since the change in the fall, it's also cheaper than the 6.2L)
  24. I don't have turning data on the early 2000's (the GMT 800 generation chassis). The 1500 frame changed for start of GMT900 program (2006ish) but the HD frame did not. However, in 2011, the HD frame and chassis was completely updated (even though the body/interior was the same between 10 and 11). The frame/chassis stayed the same from 11 thru 19, even though the body changed half way through that period. The 2020 HD is all new. Everything, except the engine -- and it has some external changes -- oil cooler and the huge updates to the cooling system. 2020HD crew standard turning circle is 52.7ft, wheelbase 158.9" (OAL 250.1) 2019HD crew standard turning circle is 51.5ft, wheelbase 153.7: (OAL 239.5) 2020 1500 crew standard (on 20" or 22") 50.2ft. 156.98" (OAL 241.25) 2020 1500 crew short (on 20" or 22") 46.9ft, 147.43" (OAL 231.7") 1500 turning circles on smaller wheel diameters are about a half a foot less.
