Page #4 in that document, where the bracket is being installed, is exactly what I was talking about, but it's round in the 2019+ trucks. I recommend the passenger side because that's where the battery and fuse box are located in the 2019+ trucks. 2018 and older trucks have the electronics on the driver side.

OP, if you want a new fender where the holes are in a different position by 2mm you'll need to make it yourself. Having it repaired via warranty will not fix the problem. The new fender will come from the same assembly line where your original fender was stamped. "Man Card" holders also recognize this. The self-described men will roll up their sleeves and fix the issue, such as removal of parts, sanding to bare metal, filling hole, making new hole in correct location, priming, painting, clearing, and reinstalling everything. There's probably a few more steps involved, but I think I made the message clear. Is it really worth it to you to do all that for less than 1/12 of an inch? If so, feel free to write up a tutorial so others can see your work. Include pictures. Everybody on the internet loves pictures. Btw, there's a good possibility you missed an even more obvious manufacturing snafu. Do the body lines between the cab and bed line up on the driver side? This is one GM actually has a fix for via the dealership installing shims.

That color has been used for over 15 years. I loved it on my wife's Cobalt SS. Problem is, it's a 3 stage paint and takes longer to repair if damaged. That's why you paid $500 more for that color. However, the imprint isn't an issue with the paint. It's an issue with clear coat. Buff it out. It just takes time, elbow grease, and a few dollars for the right equipment and chemicals.

No, they don't follow the forums. If they do it's on their own time, unpaid. The truck does have a monitor for constant battery drain and will terminate things like the radio of the monitor finds the battery level getting too weak to restart the vehicle. Think of it as a backup solution to what's going on with the radio. With that said, has anybody tried looking for whatever switch is used to kill electronics like the radio whenever the door is opened? Maybe that switch needs a little TLC to function properly. It just be getting stuck. This has been happening for decades on various makes and models.

I'm having difficulty following your post. It's not the grammar nazi in me, but the fact that's it very choppy and appears to be missing some words. There's a difference between "helping your uncle jack off a horse", and "Helping your uncle, Jack, off a horse". What i got from your post is you have a wind noise. You don't think it's the sunroof. Have you stood in the bed of your truck, or on the door sills to examine the roof lines? Is the shark fin antenna loose? Does the sunroof gasket appear to stick up or down excessively with the sunroof closed, as opposed to flush. Have you examined the windshield by pouring water on the top of it to see if water runs down the inside of the window? None of this has to do with being a man or woman. It's just a matter of using your brain and trying to figure it out. The dealership isn't always the best source for getting your truck fixed. You are. They rely on you to tell them what's wrong, and do their best to remedy the issue. The more time they spend on it the more it'll cost you. How much do you really want to spend?

Grew up in Northern Utah. Below 0°F is not unheard of there. Spent a couple years living north of Chicago. -19°F with a wind chill of -40°F is the coldest I can remember experiencing there. My wife got the garage while I parked outside due to her taking the kids to daycare. I don't recall ever having an issue with my vehicle starting in the cold. I've been driving GMs exclusively for over 20 years. Help me understand how they test a vehicle without testing the battery. The vehicle is turned off and sits at some point during the cold weather testing. And, there's this from the owner's manual: "If the engine does not start after five to 10 seconds, especially in very cold weather (below −18 °C or 0 °F), it could be flooded with too much gasoline. Try pushing the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor and holding it there while holding the key in START or ENGINE START/STOP for up to a maximum of 15 seconds. Wait at least 15 seconds between each try, to allow the cranking motor to cool down. When the engine starts, let go of the key or button and accelerator. If the vehicle starts briefly but then stops again, do the same thing. This clears the extra gasoline from the engine. Do not race the engine immediately after starting it. Operate the engine and transmission gently until the oil warms up and lubricates all moving parts."

It's the serpentine belt. There is a pulley that is very slightly out of alignment with the others. It came that way from the factory. It'll go away with a little wear on the belt.

I thought these vehicles went through cold weather testing in Canada while being developed

6.2s don't have AFM. And many trucks may not have DFM either. This is a 6.2. Did GM finally build one that has DFM? Only squeak I'm aware of on the 6.2 is the serpentine belt. I listened to the video, but couldn't identify the sound that we're suppose to hear. I have a 2020 Trail Boss LT with the 6.2. The serpentine belt is the only squeak I had, and it did eventually go away on its own.

My dealer just called me. They said GM responded and they believe it's not a software issue. Dealer was instructed to swap tailgates with a unit in stock to see if maybe the tailgate is warped/bent. I told them if that's the case then I don't know how it would have happened. I've never carried a heavy load in my truck, and the heaviest thing that was on the tailgate was my big butt. Tailgate is allegedly rated for 500 lbs, and I'm obviously well below it. We'll find out what happens tomorrow.

A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. You currently have the truck, and ownership is guaranteed if you buy it. Ownership of any other vehicle isn't guaranteed at this time. New and used inventories are very low in quantity and inflated in value. Take what you currently have and keep it. If you choose to part with it later on down the road, do so when things are back to normal. You won't be able to get the money for it then that you can today, but at least there'd be a better chance of having another vehicle to buy at a reasonable price. And, 100k miles shouldn't be an issue for these trucks, imo.

It's happened twice, and venting the window where the sound was at made it go away, so I don't think it was the mirrors. I suspect the culprit is the WeatherTech window visors.

The nitrogen gig always makes me laugh. $40, for what? About 70% of the air we already breathe is nitrogen, and the separators aren't at 100% efficiency. You'll be lucky to get 98%. Most operate at 90%-95%. It was $20 in the Intermountain west, then I moved to SEVA and it was $40. Nobody is selling it on the west coast. They'd rather sell snake oil branded as fuel cleaner, oil conditioner, trans shampoo, or whatever crud they can think of that'll get them a few dollars. Here's a simple idea: Just honor the Costco pricing agreed upon, with a smile, so I don't think you (the dealer) are trying to rip me off. It'll result in return trips for service, parts, and future vehicle sales.

My choices were California or DC. It was a decision of how I'd like to be bent over. I picked California because it was closer to family. My mother passed in Nov 2019 from cancer and my brother was struggling coping with it. Btw, just picked up my wife at the airport. She flew back from a business trip in Asia. One of the communist countries. The topic came up about how that country is handling COVID. She said the people in the communist country are more free than the people in California. They all wear masks, but 6 feet distancing, vaccine passports, restrictions on large gatherings, etc are not in play over there. California is now more restrictive than communism. Let that sink in a bit.

I posted the link to the EPA's mpg ratings for the F150 in a previous post. He wants to complain about purchase prices but doesn't care about ownership costs. He's not relying on facts. Only feelings. Can't reason with somebody like that.

How about EBT WIC cards distributed to all families with school age children that were required to stay home because of the lockdowns. $1,100 per card to all families, including nonresidents and millionaires. Keep in mind the schools were still distributing free food during the lockdowns to whomever rolled into the parking lot. My neighbors said they only had to tell them how many and that's what they'd be given. I ended up with 2 of the cards in my mailbox (2 of my 3 kids are school age). Never applied. Not a resident. Never went and got the bags of free food. Have zero need for the assistance. Your tax dollars needlessly thrown away.
