Yeah, this is why I went with an RST and not an AT4 or TB. They AT4/TBs were just too big for me when I stood next to them. I'm 5'11", too, and coming from my 2007 LT CC, those lifted trucks just felt huge. I think the AT4 hides it better, though, especially with the 20" wheel package. It doesn't look as "high" as the TB does from afar. Also, I have an older garage, and the shark fin on my '19 RST with 20"s just barely fits in... so a TB/AT4 would have been left outside in the DFW hailstorms this spring, which I didn't want to suffer through.

I backed into my inclined driveway and parked over night last night (not to help the trans, just for some other reason), and I actually noticed my shifts were SUPER smooth this AM. So yeah, maybe this has something to do with oil getting into the torque converter?

Plates look great! I had some specialized Go Texan plates on my white 2007. Thy were brown and yellow. When I got my Satin Steel RST, I wanted the all black and gray look. So I got some “Don’t Mess with Texas” plates that are B&W. Rounds out the truck nicely!

RST (or LTZ) Z71 Ranchos are not as good as the Trail Boss Z71 Ranchos. RST Z71 will be twin-tube.

Yall with the fisheye issues have the HD camera package? I've never had this happen to my RST with the HD camera. I read reviews about the fish eye thing on the non-HD camera, which is why I specifically upgraded the infotainment system to the HD rear cam.

$10-$12K off the new Chevys has become somewhat the norm with specific models. We're not there yet with the GMCs, and the AT4s are a model that GMC has not discounted too strongly yet. Many of us got our mid-high level 2019 Silverados 15-20% off MSRP. Here's a thread you can peruse:

Drove my truck without any radio/music on today, and most certainly heard this noise in the steering column again. Usually just at low speeds when I am really cranking the steering wheel to turn the truck. It's like some kind of weird blend between creaking leather and something ticking, you know? Only lasts about 1 second each time. No clue what it is. I'm not really concerned about it. I'll just "add it to the list" for whenever I go in to get my first oil change. If the dealer has had other people with the issue, I'll let them look at it. If not, I'm not going to waste my time having them try to fix it.
