Hi everybody; I usually don't do the "hi there, I'm new" thing, but being as I'm not much of a truck-guy by nature (looking to change that, for now I'm just a computer nerd :D ) I'm sure you'll all be putting up with my stupid newbie questions in the coming weeks, so I figure it's just good manners :sigh:

Just recently bought a used (2006, off lease) Black GMC Sierra SLT Crewcab; and I've got a few things I want to do to it, as funds allow. I'll post pics if anybody cares; but for now, I'm out.

Welcome to the site. Lets see some pics and what are your plans for it?

The pics will have to wait for daylight and a camera, but sure. :sigh:

What I know I'll be doing is spray-in bedliner, commandstart.

What I think I'll be doing is swapping out the XM for Sirius, and I've been toying with the idea of swapping out the interior lighting for LEDs (whether clustered HI-output standard 5mm or heatsinked PowerLED's - that second one is unlikely due to space and airflow constraints.)

What I'd like to do is (in no particular order)

-HID (probably the fogs)

-window tint

-running boards

-rails (if I can find some that work with and look good with the bedliner)

-interior CCFL/LED "glow" lighting (just to cheese off the Ford dealerships. They want $500 installed for accent lighting? Look, here, $30 of computer parts.) here's an example. lighted guages, footwells, cupholders.

-added subwoofer (w/relay for RAP control of the amp)

-computer (for GPS, Music, movies, Bluetooth Handsfree, etc.) <- longshot and down the road a few years

-upgraded cargolight/back up lights

Perhaps an exhaust refit and/or intake kit; and some better tires when the time comes.

There's not really a whole lot I want to do appearance-wise, I like the truck as is; and I'm a big fan of stock-appearing mods so as such I'd really only be doing lighting/soundsystem mods if I could pull it off to look like a dealer installed option.
