Seems like lots of guys here have newer trucks. I thought it would be interesting to find out who has older trucks used as daily drivers. I know mine wont rate too high, it's a 2001 with about 80K.

I try not to think of it as old but my daily driver is a 2001 Sierra,5.3L with 3' body lift and 35/12.5/17`s, and I haul a 32ft 9000lb travel trailer and she`s still running strong with 337,000km`s.

Before I bought this '05 Sierra I had a 1970 Chevy LWB CST10....4 years of daily driving....the year before I got that one, I had a 1973 3/4 ton Chevy. Before that I had a 1978 El Camino SS for 6 years....all daily drivers.

my daily driver is a 1995 with 250 000k on it. it still works hard to out here in the oil field. i would honestly say that its 60% street/highway 40% off road rough terrain. This truck has had it ruff but the engine is still running strong. right now it needs transfer case work and new ball joint but other then that. Im looking into buying a new truck very soon though

1997 GMC Sierra w/ 98k on the engine. Just gave it a new paint job myself and it looks almost brand new, except for the orange peel effect, but I did save a boatload of cash doing it myself although it was a lot of work.

My daily driver "Company Sled" is a 2000 Explorer that I turned 168,500 on just today.

97 GMC 3/4t with 258000KMS.. Use it for work. it just keeps running.. Seat is a piece of crap tho!

My daily driver was a 1990 K1500 regular cab long bed. Had 239,000 miles. Original engine and transmission. It was in great shape. As nice as it was, I traded it in on the Clunker program. Got $4500 towards my new 2009 Silverado. Couldn't be happier.

1977 Chevy Cheyenne 1/2 ton. To be honest, I parked it 4 months ago. All I do is work, so I don't need to drive anything other then the work truck (2000 Silverado 114,xxx) But, it still runs like a champ, and has over 300,000 combined miles between 2 motors. Oh, and the same factory TH-350 which happens to be on its last leg because of the 406 sbc. The 2006 gets driven once or twice a week.

Great truck...I had an '89 reg cab long bed with the 5.0 (305) in it. I put like 350,000 miles on the original engine/tranny before I sold it. Dude flat BOILED the tires when he drove it off after he paid me too. It still ran strong enough to do THAT!
