Im under the truck looking around and am really unsure how im going to do this exhaust. i have what looks like two 2 1/2" coming in and two 3" coming out of the oem muffler than turning into a single 3" tailpipe. what have you guys done. I really want to use a 50 series big block flowmaster but they dont make anything close. should i do two muflers and try to use oem tailpipe?

The 50 series muffler you are looking for is 530513. Its dual 3inch inlets and one 3.5inch outlet. Magnaflow makes a dual in and dual out 12469 or 12599 there dual in and dual outs. I am looking at one of the magnaflows in replacing the flowmaster actually. Just my opinion.

It's dual 3" in and out. Get the Magnaflow unless you really like "That Flowmaster Sound". I like a good sounding v8 that isn't obnoxious so I went through two Flowmaster setups and eventually settled on a Magnaflow and I am very happy with it. The Magnaflow is a freer flowing muffler than the Flowmaster also.

I am going to the magnaflow as it suppose to be freer flowing and a lil different tone. other then that i like the sound of the flowmaster.

If the magnaflow flowsbetter i will go with it, what is the model # of the magnaflow.

But im telling you guys im not crazy the two pipescoming into the muffler definitly look smaller the the rear two. i even measured with a string, in= o out= O :fume:

I called jegs and magnaflow has two dual 3" in dual " out on is slightly smaller 10x8x18 long #642-12469 and a 11x9x22 or 24" long #642-12599 does one of these seem right to you guys, and what do you think would sound better?? bigger or smaller. thanks

I am going with the 12599 when ordering mine. the difference in the muffler is one is polished and the other is not. That is what accounts for the price diff from what I seen.

Thanks alot guys for your help, I will go with the longer one and hopefully everything works out thanks again,

Any other tips?please let me know. I want to leave the oem tailpipe, so i will probably just need to small 3" pipes w/couplings to make up the diffrence.

The two pipes going into the muffler are like 2 3/4, then outlet turns into a 3". When I was looking for a after market cat back exhaust in SS, I went with a Gibson. They make their cat backs for specific vehicles and eveything fits perfectly, and no kinks in mandrel bends. I paid $640 for the extreme dual exhaust with T-304 SS. Sounds really good! Magnaflows sound real good too and they too should have something on their website like Gibson does where you enter yout vehicle info and they have the cat back kits for it.
