Light Out On Climate Controller

One of those tiny diodes? LED? lights are out on the climate controller for the passenger side climate controller. I took out the box and opened it up, thinking maybe it's just a simple bulb to replace, but first off the bulbs are extremely hard to get to and are soildered to a green board. So anyone know how much it costs to replace the entire unit? My warranty will cover it. When I took the controller box out, it felt like some mattel toy, very cheap feel to it, but something tells me it won't be cheap to purchase. Thankfully I extended my warranty for another 5 years. So I welcome all warranty convered break downs, even blown engine and trans! I firgured my truck goes through alot of abuse snow plowing, and having that warranty extended is a wise investment. Just gotta pay a $100 deduct, but it's better to have multiple things fixed all at the same time so I only pay $100 deduct.

This is a very common problem on C-5 Corvettes. The bulb connections are cold soldered. A lot of times it can be fixed by resoldering. Be very careful of the heat and use only a little flux, no additional solder. The bulbs can be changed too if you can find them.
