Ign1 2 And 3

I can't seem to find this with the search function and I figure a technician will know this quickly. What is the difference between these? My understanding is that IGN1 stays on in run and cranking and IGN3 will only be on during run but not cranking. I have no idea about IGN2.

I'm trying to find a wire under the hood that retains power only in run and not while cranking. I figure the heater/ac blower would be the best choice. Is that accessible in underhood fuse box?

  We try to make cruise the coast. It’s where our favorite casino is. I only want to spectate. Never took a car. Always had one to take. I belonged to a club once. Even when I used to drag raced. It was during test and tune. Probably because I’m not a night owl, party person.

  Good looking Olds, and TRX! I haven't been into car shows either. I'm probably not a convert but I did push myself this year to attend a few select events to challenge some assumptions and try to experience car-based social clubs in a different way. I joined up with the local Hagerty group for some cars/coffee events, group drives. A month ago I showed my '94 Camaro I rescued last fall at Radwood. Had a good time, but, there was some sitting around with the car and that's the part of shows I don't enjoy as much. I prefer to be a spectator, walk the show, grab a burger, go home. Radwood was the only era-limited event, but where it had strict model year limitations, it made it up in variety. Having Jason Camissa there was also a hoot. Where I see old 50's car shows, doo-wop and winga dinga music stuff fading out, same with "only" vintage muscle clubs, it seems to be the activity-based clubs/events which are gaining strong popularity. Places where all cars and interests come together.

  I know of 2 5.3L engines with AFM that run great. One now has 176,000 miles and the other has 235,000. Never opened up. Sound quiet. They have the same lifters with the pins as we do now. The 176,000 mile is my brother`s 2007 Avalanche and the other is a coworker`s 2010 Tahoe. I`m not going to say that these systems are as reliable as before cyl deac, cause they`re not. BUT, these engines came before the 0w20 "mandate". Hmm. Something to think about? Pins have better separation from the body and move better? Not all lifters that fail are deac lifters. Hmm. Rollers and needle bearings with better separation? Just thinking out loud.

  Had a 2011 - replaced the brake switch - that was the problem, for me.
