Corvette Servo Install On My Nnbs

Well I installed a vette servo in my truck today. Took me about 45 minutes or so...pretty easy install for the most part. If my truck wasn't lowered so much it would have been easier. Regardless, I purchased the servo from Oregon Performance Transmission online for like 23 bucks shipped to my door.

I took it for a spin after the install and it was a night and day difference for me. It seems to make your truck shift from first to second and second to third better...kind of like it clicks in gear now. Versus having grandpa smooth shifts before where it would almost feel like it was in 1st and 2nd at the same time because it as trying to be so smooth.

Just thought I would share that I am very happy and the install is really easy. I have big 24's and I spun the tires when I took off and chirpped them pretty good when I hit second. Now I typically never drag race my truck, but it was pretty cool nonetheless. Has anyone else had the same results?

I just did mine this weekend as well. Feels like a very solid transmission. The shifts are nice. Its like it doesnt lose power. Just cant wait to get my tune from justin

Sounds like a mod that I will have to do before spring when I get a tune from Justin. Wheres the best place to get one from online?

I am thinking the same thing SierraRR, should do this if its that cheap, but yields great results, and do it before the tune. Would this work on my 03, 5.3L? I would hope so. Or is it only limited to the NBS 4 and 6 speeds?

It works on your model too.

Good to hear...myself and two other GMT members are putting our servos in on Saturday...with grilling to follow. It's going to be a good day.
