Camshaft Position Sensor

Hello all,

 

First time poster here, I really need some guidance on sloving a P0340 code. I have already replaced the sensor but it did not correct the problem. Please help

Wonder if a crank re-learn needs to be done since this sensor works in conjunction with the crank sensor. I would check all the connections and wiring for problems as well.

 

CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR

 

The CMP sensor is also a magneto resistive sensor, with the same type of circuits as the CKP sensor. The CMP sensor signal is a digital ON/OFF pulse, output once per revolution of the camshaft. The CMP sensor information is used by the PCM to determine the position of the valve train relative to the CKP.
