You wont build oil pressure with the thinner oil. Also it wont have the viscosity to fill the clearances between rotating parts.
dlstewart01 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 GM does not spec it. I wouldn't put it in my truck.
csheatz Posted December 23, 2009 Author Posted December 23, 2009 this is not good, they sent me 24qts
hockeypro1411 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 this is not good, they sent me 24qts Looks like you'll be doing the same to them.
Zembonez Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 this is not good, they sent me 24qts Looks like you'll be doing the same to them. It might be OK in severe cold but otherwise, it's not gonna work. I agree. Send it back. Cheaper than buying engines.

From my experiences, they're a great company. I use a local dealer who delivers anything for free within a certain distance. This happened to me before with an order of some Amsoil 2-cycle oil and he just picked it up when he brought the new stuff. I got a couple free stickers out of it too!
