How Has This Forum Helped You?

Thanks to everyone for all the great info here. I thought it a good time to look back on the year. I found out things about my truck I probably would never have known if not for this forum. I would have never known I could upgrade the DIC in my W/T. Never would have imagined it was prewired for it. You guys also saved me $300.00 on replacing the emission's vent valve when I got a PO449 code. These are just a couple of things.

How has this forum help you? Saved you money? Modifications? Repairs? Trouble shooting? Looking forward to next year! Thanks again.

The forum has helped me get the latest brake light switch, find the part number for the connector for the 5Y0 emergency lights so I could have access to a "virgin" run/crank circuit, the "grease the slip yoke" trick, and many others.

I've only been here for a few weeks, but have already had a great sample of the knowledge contained on this forum. To name a few, throttle body bypass, coolant flush help (been in the Army too long and was looking for a draincock), tire size and selection (upcoming replacement), and steering shaft fixes.

I know what you mean. I only listed 2 things I could go on and on too. When I found out about how easy the Intermediate Steering Shaft was to replace and or grease I felt violated by the dealer for that $100.00 they charged for grease!!! It was so easy to replace I let my 14 y/o son replace it with that new "clunkless" shaft. Under my supervision, of course. No more clunk!! Thanks to this forum. I have more confidence now because I have a good resource. Just list a couple of things. I know a lot of you have at least one good story.

I would not know where to start. It's just a wealth of knowledge here and everyone is very helpful. A GREAT site to be on.

Well over the almost 20 months here and a few other Chevy truck related forums, I have gained a lot of background knowledge to help me in my decision to buy my current truck when I was looking to buy vs other trucks.

I have learned some valuable maintenance tips for my truck that I did not know.

And as others have mentioned previously the collective knowledge base here is priceless and especially to me, since my Chevy dealer was forced out of business by the GM bankruptcy, so I really am now relying on the forums for help if and when I need; as it requires a full day to visit a dealer if needed and for me it is really difficult since I work only at night.

I would like to say a big thank you for all the other members help and to the folks that make this site and others like this one run and free to all who care to partake of the site.

Thank YOU to you all.

And may you all have a safe and happy remainding holiday period.

Lets not meet by accident.

Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but it helped me spend money... If I would have never found these type of forums, I'd have more money in my wallet.

Obvious other reasons too... as mentioned above.

To much to list. I have been here since 98 or 99 when the site started on ez-board. I was one of the first 10 people here. Its been fun and the people here are the best thing about the site !
