Wheel Size And Backspacing

I was wondering if someone could tell me what specific wheel size and backspacing is on the truck with the XD Spys pictured below? I'm assuming the tires are 35x12.50 (please confirm that also) and the wheels are 20 inches, but I want to know if the wheels are the 20x9's with 4.53" backspacing or the 20x8.5's with 5.46" backspacing?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 6" BDS lift and really like the look of this set up and would like to duplicate it…whosever truck this is…very nice! thx

thats james's truck (jimmyboy8301)

i believe they're 20x9 with 5.0" backspace, im sure he'll chime in to verify.

edit; unless that was the size of his kmc diesels.... not sure if the spys are the same size

Yea, the Spys only come in the sizes and backspacing I've listed. Trying to decide which is the lesser of the two evils – an 8.5 inch rim width or the 4.53 inch backspacing. I would think the larger tires would wear better on the 9 inch rims but I'm afraid the 4.53 inch backspacing would stick out too far and require more trimming than I'd like to do. I have a few weeks to decide so maybe he'll comment…thanks for the response.

BTW, not sure if you remember that you helped me with a re-gearing question back in October…long story short, East Coast Gear Supply in Durham, NC quoted me $1,200 to switch out to either 4.10's or 4.30's. I'm leaning towards the 4.30's right now.

upgraded to 35x12.5x20 Toyo MT's and 20x8.5 XD Spys and what a HUGE difference IMO the truck looks SO much more modern and aggressive, and in person it looks bigger. I hope you guys like it as much as I do!

As far as gearing is concerned, both the 4.10 and 4.30 will be good. If you want to push a tad more for performance, go with the 4.30 and don't look back. Depending on your highway driving style, the 4.30s may help keep the truck in 6th gear better when you're running the big tires.
