I've had my truck for over a year now but I just found this forum. I had been longing for a travel trailer for a long time but I needed a tow vehicle first. I had never considered anything but a GM Duramax truck and last year an opportunity came that I couldn't pass up. At the end of 2008 GM was offering "Red Tag" pricing plus up to $10,000 in rebates (if you paid cash) on their trucks! I got a full-up 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT extended-cab standard-bed 4x4 Duramax/Allison for $14,600 off of list price. My trailer is on order and I should get it early April.

Welcome Steve. Sure sounds like a sweet setup you have there.

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with the truck and the deal I got. The only option that it doesn't have is navigation, which I didn't want anyway. It even came with running boards, a $650 option that for some reason or other didn't show up on the invoice.
