does anyone know the difference between the two part numbers? its a little discerning that there is a "newer" part number.... what did they change? i inherently would prefer the newer part number...but my truck is an 08 so is there a reason that the "older" part number would actually be better for my truck....?

20783877 is the newer part number, right. It works in my 07 so you should be good.

The antenna is GM P/N 15938939.

From reading around on a few other forums about the OnStar+Bluetooth swap for Lambda CUVs, GMT900s, and Pontiac G8s, it looks like GM was having some compatibility problems with the factory NAV systems in some of the vehicles, so they updated the software in the module -- hence the new P/N. So if you have NAV you probably want to look for the revised part... but if you don't, the older part number should be fine.

 

 

I too just snagged one of these from the same seller; if for some reason these don't come to us in operable condition, I see that he lives about 30-45 minutes from me, so I'll be inclined to find out exactly where he is and pay him a little visit to discuss how he'll be making it up to us.

That is a little weird!

That makes it 4 of a part that are unobtainable. Whatever!!! They better be right or Charlie can go over a pay him a visit.

 

He does have 100% with almost 1000 transactions.

Exactly right. Something was going on with the navigation screen and the module.
