Cb Radio - Where To Run The Coax

Just purchased a CB radio to add to my truck. I ordered a Cobra 75 WXST, 4' Firestik II tunable tip antenna, and Firestik Stake-mount kit (has the antenna mount and 18' of coax). All items are currently in the mail, but before hand I want to know what would be the best possible solution to route the coax cable into the cab. I have read on this forum already the possibly of using the vent between the rear of the cab and the front of the bed, going through the parking brake area, or just plain ole drilling. I would prefer to stay away from any drilling. Also, no one has confirmed using any of these methods on a GMT-900. I would prefer the vent method the most instead of running coax on the underside of the vehicle.

I was going to poke around for a body plug in the cab, but not entirely sure how I was getting the coax out of the bed to under the cab...

I looked at my truck a little bit. Wire should be able to run down through the stake hole no problem to reach underside of vehicle. I was able to feel the vent flaps on the rear of the cab, which are just rubber. Past the rubber flaps is the interior carpet. Should be no problem, only concern is whether this will let water in easily since one of the flaps won't stay closed at all times due to the coax keeping it open.

Cut a notch in the vent to allow the coax to come through and then use a quality silicone around the coax to seal out any water.
