Bought a LT1 2009 Silverado ex-cab 5.3L 3.42 rear powerplus option and power seat adjustment. Retail 31,100 minus rebates and customer loyalty 6,000 plus dealer discount 2000. Not talking taxes. My trade 2008 Silverado V6 work truck 25K miles. Had dealers offer me as low as 10K on the trade ending up getting 15,500. Very satisfied with the deal.

Lets hear about the details. Did you have to work hard to get the deal? When did you buy?

No, but I do believe that someone's AFM lifters will go kaput by that date.(Out of hundreds of thousands of AFM trucks out there)

OK, Ryan give me the odds on a new chevy truck.

My comment wasnt directed towards you. There seem to be many AFM conspiracy theorists around giving the system a bad name. Enjoy your truck it will be fine.

Yes, it appears there are some hypersensitive looking for something wrong syndrome viruses out there. If you look hard enough there is always something wrong with something or someone.

Forgive me, but how is wishing someone good luck with his new AFM equipped truck (noting that he had a non AFM V6 before) synonymous with being an "AFM conspirator"? Quite frankly, I do not care about the AFM one way or the other because I do not have it my truck, or any other vehicle. I do not deny that I do not like the system, but I was not trying to be sarcastic about it this time. Maybe it came across that way.

And you guys have to admit that I do not complain about my truck. I like it and it serves me well. It is not perfect, nothing is, but overall it is a good vehicle.

Actually your comment came accross like: "I had AFM and you can expect some trouble" After reading posts about how much people hate AFM I can sympathize with the situation. But the question here is about buying a new truck and the deal you got. :D
