Projector Headlights?

Has anybody installed these? Any draw backs? I like this style but am curious. Is this the same as HID's. Thanks guys.

does not say HID anywhere, I doubt they are. Light just uses a "projector" style reflector as compared to the shiny mirror looking headlights. When upgrading to HID you will need a ballast for each HID bulb.

 

When I added HID to a truck, the HID bulbs were longer than the stock halogen bulbs, so even if you bought the headlights you may have clearance issues for HID bulbs. I'd email the seller and ask if they are compatible with HID upgrades or not.

That was pretty much what I was wondering. I more or less like the looks of these. How much better are using projectors over stock? I actually get excellent light out of my superbrites.
