The Yukon Xl Slt Is Orderd

I pulled the trigger and ordered the Yukon XL SLT. Now the wait is on. I decided to go with the 6.2 as I know I would have had trouble getting use to the 5.3, after coming from a chipped 7.3 diesel Excursion.

Now I just need to order Weathertech or some CatchAll floor mats. Any other items I should order before it comes?

Get the weathertechs as soon as you can to keep the carpet clean. I just ordered mine last week and it's about a 2 week turnaround. Weathertech.com was actually one of the cheaper places to get them. Complete car for $387 shipped for the digital fit's.

We there maybe a change now  The dealer and I agreed on invoice, but I was just informed the numbers we talked about did not include the advertising fee of about $1150.00 Now the dealer did show me inovice price to order the vehicle and he did say when order was placed it should be within a $200.00. I was given an order Workbench form what show Invoice W/DFC, but did not have advertising cost in it.

What do you guys know about the advertising fees?

I know that is way to much. What a scam.

I have seen ad fees $200-300 at the highest. On my last 3 vehicles I havent paid any ad fees. On my truck there was a $100 doc fee which wasnt to bad.

The advertising fee is BS, straight up trying to steal your $1,150. What does this dealer have to advertise your truck for? I mean you ordered it, you bought it, it doesn't need to be advertised.

Even if the dealer sells you the truck at invoice he is still making about $1,700 (3% of MSRP through holdbacks).

Unless there is a state law requiring an "advertising fee" tell them too bad and if they won't budge go to a different dealer.

Any extra fees are BS and any dealers that try to charge them are dishonest.

You are just being tricked into paying $1,150 more for your truck.

I just ordered a 2010 Yukon XL 3/4 ton 4x4 SLT with every option you mentioned and got it for $500 under invoice then minus all the rebates. ($59,070 MSRP, $54,631 invoice, $54,131 selling price, $52,131 after rebate, + tax and license).

I would tell the dealer no way and walk away if they even try to convince you to pay the "advertising fee".

Yes, I feel strongly about this.

I agree, tell the dealer to shove it. There are plenty of other dealers that will take the business.

Last time I bought a new car they tried to charge me a $250 doc fee. I told them I would go to the other Subaru dealer in town and the fee magically became $49. I was willing to walk over $200, if they tried to pull $1100+ on me I would have been on the phone with the district manager (I was a Subaru employee at the time).

The dealer sent over a new workbench order form and it showed the additional fees, but I am sure the system can be manipulated.

I made a call to another dealer and looks like we have a deal. I canceled my order.

I have never heard of an advertising fee.

Glad to hear that you got it worked out. What a dumba$$ for losing a sale over that and a damn good sale I might add, I mean you weren't exactly ordering an Aveo.
