Is This A Good Price?

2009 Tahoe LTZ 4x4. Demo vehicle with 7300 miles. Warranty begins from mileage when I take delivery. Stickers for 56250. Has the sun Fun and Entertainment. They have to check with the head honcho at the dealership but are 90% sure he will accept the offer of 43,900 + TTL.

 

What do you guys think?

Actually it is not a good price because GM jacked up the price of this vehicle by at least $ 12k in the last few years. They merely give you an illusion that you are getting a big discount.

Wow crazy!! I picked up my 04 silverado for 10k and this was financed in Jan. 4X4, fully loaded, leather etc

Their Justification: (IMO) 1) We gotta pay back the Govt and start making a profit...2) If we sell less guzzlers, we can meet CAFE faster

Given the grossly inflated price of this vehicle, you should get a brand new '09 with zero miles for that price. Just my opinion.

supply and demand is what drives prices just like anything else in america, theres not much rush to pay the goverment back because they are owned by the goverment lol

To go along with this, I went to the dealer I bought my 08 Silverado new. They had an 2010 reg cab short box LT on the lot. It was nothing special and sticker was $37,000!!!!!!! Holy crap! My 08 stickered for $26000, granted it is an reg cab long box LS, but still, that is rediculous!

I just wish my pay was increasing at the rate they are increasing these truck prices!

Thanks for the help guys. I am trying to find out whether 12340 off of an msrp of 56240 is a good deal for 2009 demo with 7300miles. I am buying a tahoe somewhere and am trying to find out if this is a good deal. It seems to be as I have seen some on the used market for this price. Thank you

use your choice between nada.com, kbb.com or whatever, spec the truck as used with that mileage, don't pay more than the private party number quoted. That's what I got when I picked up my '09 Sierra which was a demo with about the same mileage.

Based on the current market, that sounds like a decent price. I just looked at autotrader for my area and there is an '09 LTZ with 6,600 miles for $45,987. It couldn't hurt to try to get them a little lower or throw in an incentive like an extended warranty.
