Moonroof Questions...

Three questions:

1: Whoever has the extended cab pickup with a moonroof, can I see pictures of it open (to get an idea of how it looks?)

2: Have the leaking moonroof issues been resolved???

3: Owners of moonroofs, would you hesitate to do it again?

Well, I can't answer 1 or 2.

But - yes, I would have a moonroof again. I have had them in my last few GM vehicles and I have never had a leak!

I'm not aware of any specific issues with leaks in the GMT900's,although they did have a TSB for leaks in "general".

I would definitely get one again.

factory sunroof. no leaking so far after 16,000 miles.. sometimes occasional 'rattle' but as long as the weather stripping is lubricated no noise. (use Einszett Rubber Care Stick “Gummi Pflege) GummiPflege.jpg

I would not pay extra for a moonroof because I do not use it enough. I also would not turn down a vehicle because of the moonroof or any perceived reliability issues.

I agree, while its nice, I don't think I use it enough to spend the extra grand or whatever it was if I had ordered it

Big deal, 1999 Mazda 626 factory sunroof, no leaking so far after 246k miles, and no rattle either.

Had an 07 Extended Cab and loved the moonroof, it was an absolute must have when we did a Dealer Trade for this 09....I really like it...I am going to get some of the stuff CM7 suggested....the 09 has a little rattle when its cold...the 07 was flawless except the drain did clog one time. I'd say its worth the $$!

Have it...Love it....Would not be without it...I have it open everyday until it gets hot outside...I've had no problems at all with it.
