Hit it a while ago..'01 Silverado 4.8 / 4L60E, 3.42 rear. Took it on a 425 mile road trip about a week and a half ago and got 19.25 MPG :P100_3627.jpg

Also threw some wheels from an '07 Yukon on there

what major maintenance have you had to do in those 300k miles? engine/fuel pump/tranny/etc?

Congrats, I did 315K in my last FORD, but not that high on any of my GM products yet, I do have 170K on my 03 Sierra.

I've had it since 253k and have had to do both front wheel bearings, a fuel pump (my fault for not changing the fuel filter), and some general maintinence stuff like a battery and brake pads on all four corners, but nothing major. It's been a great truck.

My Dad has 60 or 70 on his 08 CCSB 4x4 with AFM. Hasn't had one issue to date (knock on wood). I see no reason that truck won't last as long as anyone else's. Though you folks with lifter trouble probably don't feel the same :P.

I have 50K on mine. No issues yet had a damn rat chew some wires, only reason it's been to the dealer. No engine/tranny problems.

I know a few other over 75K , but no on near that.

prett Cool!

1983 Oldsmobile 98 & 1986 Chevy Silverado R10 both with over 600k.

Regular maintenance. Nether had the engine pulled or the transmission.

Oil

Filters

Fuel Pump

Water Pump

Pick-up

Module

Plugs

Wires

Cap Rotor

Timing chain in both on the same weekend....

Let me drop a battery in either and put some gas in the tank..... Both will crank and run and pull themselves. They may smoke for just a couple seconds after sitting a month or so.

I would load up the 98 and drive it anywhere. With any thoughts.
