Gibson Dual Exhaust Or Magnaflow Dual Exhaust

im looking to buy a stainless steel exhaust system for my 08 sierra. i have a 40 series flowmaster on my truck right now. i havent heard either of these in person. i have heard that the gibson is quieter than the magnaflow. i like gibsons claims that they make power down low rather than up high. even though there wont be a noticable difference with a cat back system. i do like a louder exhaust. which one should i choose?

A guy i use to work with had a full gibson setup on his truck and the muffler rusted away from the pipe... He claimed it was stainless but i guess no one ever told the steel to act stainless

I had the same issue with Gibson, and they wouldn't stand behind it,I'd say go with the Magnaflow.

Not sure how the other two sound but I like the sound of the flowmaster. Get a single inlet dual outlet ion that is what I would do.

I just got a magnaflow single in dual out and love it. The sound is awesome and can't beat stainless exhaust. Had a flowmaster on my old truck and the muffler was looking pretty rough when I sold it.

I might be picking up a gibson dual extreme exhaust this weekend. A guy locally is selling a 1 month old system for $100 complete.

Mine is a GMT 800 but..... Exhaust Borla thou. Here is a Borla Kit on a GMT900.

I just put a Borla system under my truck last weekend. MAN it sounds good.... I had a flowmaster system under it before. The flowmaster rotted out. Stainless was in order for me toooo. I had a force ii system from flowmaster which is a 70 series. The flowmaster WAS MOUNDS quieter than the borla system......

As far as Gibson or Magnaflow........ IDK...... I was very impressed with the Borla system... I looked at stainless works but the said I would have to drop the spare tire since it would not work with the spare in place......

I got my Borla for like 707.95 less 30 bucks (found a code on there home page) and free shipping..... so it was 667.95 shipped and installed (i.e. me)

Jbo

Borla is 304 Stainless steel.....

thanks everyone for your input. as far as getting a flow master exhaust, i live in vermont. i have a 40 series on it right now that has only been on there for about 7 months. im guessing in another 7 months its going to be just about rotted. maybe not, but it doesnt look too healthy. i plan on getting the magnaflow stainless system. thank you once again

Yeah my brother has a flow master cat back kit on his '01 1500, tail pipe has rotted and fallen off the muffler at least twice already
