blackout07 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I haven't had an issue either. Nor have I heard of any.
xc80002 Posted April 24, 2010 Author Posted April 24, 2010 I checked the level and its just a tad bit low. I noticed oil above the t-case where it slung it under the body. just a light film between the frame. I just wundered if anyone noticed it.
foxman31292 Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I know when i did my lift you needed to cut into the Transfer case for it to sit in the subframe not sure if this was nessisary with the lift you did... is it possible whoever did it actually went too far and cut into the t case itself and not just on the heat shields that you are supposed to cut

The OP is discussing the Transfer Case, the part behind the transmission... not the Front Diff (which needs to be trimmed down on many lift kits to fit correctly in the new subframe)... Sounds like maybe the rear seal is leaking where the slip yoke is...happened the first time I removed my rear driveshaft on my old '83 K5.
BrockwayMT Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Maybe the yoke is too far out now and wobbling about. Maybe you need a longer rear propshaft to accomodate the lift.
