Step Side...

I was daydreaming this morning sitting in traffic, saw the previous body style extended cab truck with the step side, and i got to thinking they don't offer that style in the GMT900 series, do they? No more step sides.. hmm, i wonder what one would look like with step sides...i know the bed isn't as wide and useful, but still looks sharp.

 

Any thoughts?

I believe the last step side was 2005.

i had the sport side on my 01 Z71 and i liked it. there is a guy i have seen around town has a RC/01-02 dropped with the sport side, and looks REAL nice

Hmm... I think the GMT900's would look cool with a step-side.

my old truck was a 93 GMC reg. cab step side and I loved it, but need to upgrade to a little more room. it's easier to get my little guy in a 4 door.

Yesterday at the gas station i saw a 94-01 dodge ram stepside (second gen) and i had NO idea that Dodge made one. Wasnt that cool, the stepside was very rectangular and square as if it were from the older F-150 stepsides or a gmt-400 and didnt really go with the second gen dodge look

Not a big fan of them on anthing since the 60's or so. I saw a f150 the other day that was a stepside and it looked stupid. Sure it had the fender buldge and the step pads in front and behind the wheel, but unless you have womans size 3 shoe your foot isn't going to fit. I stole this off some forum

They lost me when they went plastic........ But until I found out they were plastic on GMT800's I loved it....... My neighbor had a 2003 step side........

 

I lost a socket in my yard....

 

He found it.... with his lawn mower...... I had a pulley freeze up and had to do 911 a bearing change (aka it was dark before i got it fixed)..... Never could find that 3/4 inch socket I was using to pull it apart had to get a second one to put it back together......

 

My lawn mower does not spin the deck fast enough to pick up such things..... As it is about 45+ years old (It is my dad's his dad bough it for him to cut grass when he was a kid and dad's 60 this year).... And it is a Ford 75 with a 5hp briggs (could be a 7.5 its been awhile since I rebuilt the motor last time, nothing like a 1000lb riding mower its not that heavy but it is A LOT substantial that the new ones).........

 

He cut part of my yard that Saturday..... He did bring me the socket back after wards.... I didn't leave him hanging thou.... I put a new fender skin on it for him and painted the entire side and cleared the rest of the truck for him.....

A ladies husband I work with sold his 94 stepside last year. They asked me a few times if i wanted it, but he kept it immaculate and i live on gravel. I keep my vehicles clean and taken care off. But it had i think between 30-40,000 miles, so I didn't wanna buy it and start driving in on gravel and MN winters again. Was a sharp truck though, RCSB. He did end up selling it, but a guy should of picked that truck up probably. Bright Red btw also
