So I got the itch for some new wheels. Originally I wanted to get a set of 22" XD Rockstars in black, but after much consideration didnt want to be disappointed with the size on a black rim since I was taking off my factory 20's. Usually a black wheel does not look quite as big when there is no chrome on it because it doesnt "pop" out like a chrome or a bright alloy. So I went with a set of black 24" XD Monsters. Had them mounted on 295/35R24 Goldway (Chineese) directional rubber. About a month ago I installed the Belltech 2" rear shackle kit and left the front stock (and its a 4wd). The only modfication necessary was removing a plastic rivet in the lower rear of the front wheel wells. The plasic rivet only sticks out about 1/8", but it rubbed on both sides when turning.

They make the truck look "tuff" has been the most common comment actually. I wasnt going for the "gangster" look, lol. The ride is suprisingly much better than I had expected. Not much differance in ride quality other than you can feel the road a bit more over the stock 20"s.

When I first picked it up I was a bit nervous because upon applying the brakes it would vibrate hard; like so hard that I was afraid I was going to want to take them off by the time I got home. I remembered from this forum about the retaining washers on the rear drums and took them off this morning. Its perfect now. Amazing that those two tiny clips on each rear drum can cause such a big problem!!!

I have either been at work and/or its been raining since I got them but I went outside to snap a few pics before dinner tonight. I am parked next to a tree and with two cars around me so the angle of my photo's really suck (there wasnt much room).

Matt your next!!!!

Looks awesome man! It's not the "same ol" that everyone does but its also not "too different". Well done!

Hmmm... Maybe some 20" Monsters with 275/60/20 LTZs will go on for next "winter". And if i like them enough... maybe, just maybe they'll stay on

Could you throw a side shot of the truck?! Looks great man!

I parked next to a silverado today that had 18" monsters and I have 20's and I remembered yours which are 24's. I realized how much better these wheels look the bigger they get

Its either been raining or snowing (yes snowing) :( for the past week. Finally had a few minutes after work to give her a bath and snap some pics. Wish I would have parked on a more level surface; the ground slopes towards the rear.
