How Cool Are The Cooled Seats Supposed To Be?

I bought a 2010 Sierra Denali about a month ago. I love the truck, and how that it is above 80 in Upstate New York I've started to use the cooled seats. It seems like even on the highest setting it doesn't have much of an effect. The cooling effect is subtle at best. I'm wondering if I should bring it to the dealer for if this is standard for this system?

Never experienced the cooled seats myself, but really isn't the A/C effective enough? Mine blows so cold I feel like I'm in an igloo after a few short minutes!

Hmm...I really haven't had that problem. I don't even like to run mine on high b/c it gets too cold. But I'm usually in slacks. In jeans, it doesn't seem to be as effective.

Handy to have when it's 97° outside with high humidity like today.

Not familiar with this option, but sounds like something someone would want with leather interior and remote start. That would be the only time I would think I would want it.

I have a 2010 Yukon XL 2500 4x4 and I ordered the heated and cooled seats. Mine work quite well and I can't keep it on the highest cooling setting without them getting too cold. It hasn't been real warm here yet (70 at most) so I can't comment on how well they work when it's hot.

To the post above about why isn't the A/C sufficient, well until you experience the cooled seats it's hard to explain how good they are.

Hmm, it sounds like mine might not be working then. I called my dealer and they are going to take a look at it next week.

on a side note, does anyone know how the cooled seats work? anyone have a pic of the controls? I'm kinda curious if it would be possible to retrofit into my Sierra SLT

I think it is just a fan that blows cool air through little pin holes in the leather. Keyword is think though.

man I would love cooled seats in my SLT, black leather was not my best choice idea, a little too pricey for me though,

It was a $650 (MSRP) option when I ordered my 10 Yukon XL 2500 4x4 with them. I don't think I could've justified $2,500 for them though.

I wish I could have ordered it on my '09, but it was only avaliable on the Denali. I could have got it in an '09 Dodge, but then I'd be stuck driving a Dodge (or is that Fiat?).

Mine work very well. For the OP; You should be able to feel air blowing through the holes, especially in the thigh area on the bottom cushions..
