Factory Nav Question

I have the factory Nav in my new truck and there are sometimes small light blue dots on the map that I can't figure out what they are. I've read the manual and messed with all the settings, but I can't seem to figure out what they represent.

 

Sometimes they are along streets (not always the street your on), sometimes they are in groups or clusters, sometimes they are in the middle of a field. I figured out yesterday they don't move with the map as you turn. Very strange.

 

They have to represent something. If no one has a quick answer, I'll snap a pic of them.

I thought the same thing, but sometimes mine are in the middle of a empty field.

That is an off road feature that markes where you have been. Around my area there places that the roads aren't on the disc. You can turn it off by pushing the menu button. Then select the nav button. At the bottom is the off road mode button. you can turn it off or on from there.

Thanks, I'll turn the Off Road option off and see if they go away. I don't know why the dots sometimes show up in places I've never been.
