First Pickup And A Question

Hello all!

 

Recently picked up my first pickup ever: a shiny red 2010 Silverado 1500 LT extended cab 4x4 w/ the Z71 package, and the Power Pack Plus (5.3L, locking diff, etc).

 

So far, so good... I'm getting my bed liner installed this weekend, along with the heated seat kit.

 

 

Quick question: what is the weight rating on the built in hitch platform that comes with the trailering package?

 

Hopefully this goes better than the last GM product I picked up a few years back (a 1988 V20 Chevy Suburban that threw a rod and left me on the side of the freeway at 11:30 at night).

I think GM quality on new vehicles has been greatly improved over the 80's models. However, there is always chance that something bad can happen to your new truck. The probability is less though. And warranties are much better too.
