Technical Deep Dive

Some snippits to chew on:

The other big difference we noticed with the Ford...which is clearly inferior to the Sierrado twins.

-Hmmm...what about the Ford was inferior...

the new 6.7-liter Scorpion diesel is simply not as...

-Don't leave me hanging... :uhoh:

...the confidence it inspires while driving with either a payload or a trailer.

-What could inspire so much confidence?

In short, it was brilliant.

-What was brilliant? :D

the Scorpion doesn't feel as...

-WHAT?!?!?!!? :D

"Contrary to what logic might presume, GMC and Chevrolet truck buyers aren't really one and the same. GMC buyers are generally younger, better educated and more affluent. Perhaps best of all, those opting for Sierras are more likely to pick higher trim levels, crew cabs, diesels and add accessories – all of which do wonderful things for profit margins."

Did they just call Silverado owners generally dumb rednecks? :)

dumb rednecks drive fords and challenge you to hook chains at every stoplight, GMC/Chevy owners are very humble it seems, i've noticed a trend that alot of dodge owners are incredibly wimpy(thus buying the big horn edition to try to make up for somethen) and so on with power strokes...

No...just down to Earth and not arrogant...

I am surprised that they are younger...you would think a younger person would go towards the Chevy <-- yes, I said it...) as they are generally cheaper.

It's funny they said this. My dad bought a 2009 Silverado.

I was looking at buying a new truck, and immediately went for a Sierra, and got a bunch more options than my dad did, and a higher trim level :D

Maybe there is some truth to it. :D

well, it seems Autoblog is getting Nicer when it comes to reviewing stuff from the Big 3, because they wrote a NICE review of the New 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee! to me, it looks like the Foreign humping Press has FINALLY Come to their senses!

No, it's just that we finally have some people in leadership positions for Ford, GM, and Chrysler who actually give a damn. I think a big reason the magazines gave so much praise to the imports is because they had a "Let's do a good job" attitude, while the Big 3 had a "yeah.. whatever." type attitude when it came to products and reliability.
