Static Radio When Hid Fog Lights Turned On

as i said, as soon as i hooked up my hid kit in my fog lights i get bad static.the radio cuts in and out as soon as i turn my fog lights on the radio gets alot of static and cuts in and out.

 

if anyone knows why this is happening or how i can get this to stop please let help me out!

Is your headlights on its on circuit and not tied in with the radio circuit? What brand of ballast are you using? your ballast is gonna be the main cuase of it.

its actually very common with hid's i would try and move the ballests as far away from your antenna as you can and see if there any difference

i tried moving em away,dident change anything, also the low beam and high beam ballasts are closer to the antena then the fog light are , its weird couse the low beam and high beam do not couse any static , which are allso hid, as soon as i put the fogs on it has bruatal static.....

 

any other ideas?

sometimes this is caused because the ballast is mounted on metal, try using zipties and mounting it somewhere not again the frame or anything metal really
