New Car Smell

so kind of a little different question than usually posted on here... the new car smell is running out in my new truck )-: idk about you guys but i love that smell is there a good air freshner that smells like it? i know the little tree air freshner new car scent smells nothing like it. any suggestions????

I've had my fair share of new cars, and my Toyota by far had the best smelling and longest lasting new car smell. my Sierra has 2300 miles and it doesnt even smell that new anymore.

ahhhh, SMMMMMMM mine does not smell new any more either....... It would be interesting to find something that brings the smell back....

 

I have my truck smelled up with some trees.... Pina Colada ones thou... I will admit new car smell was better

uh new car scent air freshners? i mean if the smell replaceing the new car scent is bugging you, i could come over and drop a loaf in the back seat

That's weird, we have over 10,000 miles on ours and the New Truck Smell HASN'T Gone away!

This is probably one of my favorite smells! Nothing smells better, than a brand new car!!

If you have leather, Zaino Leather in a Bottle conditioner...makes the whole vehicle smell so...fresh, new and great.

 

If you don't, and otherwise, keep things as spotless and away from odors as possible, and then perhaps a few squirts of a spray like this:

The true new smell are the gases released by the fresh vinyls, plastics, etc. and not a great thing in reality, but they do wear away as natural.

They have various scents. I like vanilla. Not over powering and it freshens things up especially since I haul the baby and dog quite frequently

The odor from plastics, vinyl, adhesives, carpet all outgassing. I read they are trying to find stuff that wont outgass since most of it is not good for you. Guess they will have to invent an artificial new car smell to capture the buyers.

McGuires Liquid Gold leather conditioner/cleaner keeps mine smelling new.

As mentioned, that new car or truck smell is not exactly good for your health. I found out that GM rubber floormats supplied with my truck gave off strong odor for quite some time. At times it was almost overpowering and downright nauseating.

 

I find the smell of leather in a new vehicle quite pleasant though.
