Tire Size On 2500hd

I will be purchasing a 2001 2500hd extended cab with the 8.1L and Allison transmission. The truck is going to need tires pretty much as soon as I get it. It currently has the stock size tires and 16 inch rims on it. I found a really good deal locally on a brand new set of 265/70-17 on some good looking wheels. What can I expect when going with this different size tire? any issues with the transmission I should worry about?

Those will be just fine. They shouldn't cause any issues.

Should I expect any issues with clearance with the taller tire with stock suspension?
